BESUT: A 13-year-old girl lodged a police report claiming she was raped by her father and brother several times between December and early this year.

District police chief Superintendent Kamaruddin Mohd Zakaria said the police received a report from the victim on June 23.

“The victim, who is a student, claimed that she was raped by her father, in his 40s,
at their home in Gong Nering in December.

“She was alone in her room when it happened,” he said, adding that the victim claimed that it happened twice in the same month.

Kamaruddin said the girl also claimed that she was raped by her elder brother near a bush while heading to school.

“The girl could not remember the exact date of the incident, but decided to recount her ordeal to her mother recently.

“The mother then informed her daughter’s teachers before accompanying her to the district police headquarters to lodge the report,” said Kamaruddi
