Set in 1303 AD medieval India, Padmavati is the story of honour, valour and obsession. Queen Padmavati is known for her exceptional beauty along with a strong sense of justice and is the wife of Maharawal Ratan Singh and pride of the Kingdom of Chittor, a prosperous kingdom in the north west of India. The legend of her beauty reaches the reigning sultan of Hindustan -Allaudin Khilji. The sultan who is a tyrant, is fixated with wanting anything that is of exceptional beauty for himself. He lays siege on the impregnable fortress of Chittorgarh.
After a gruelling 6 months, he returns to Delhi empty handed. He becomes obsessed and now wants to capture Chittor and its Queen at any cost. He returns with a bigger army and raging fury. He attacks Chittor with brutal force and a bloody and fearsome battle takes place between the righteous Maharawal Ratan Singh defending his kingdom and the honour of his Queen and Sultan Allaudin Khilji. Khilji manages to breach the fortress but it goes in vain as the Queen chooses to make the ultimate sacrifice to protect her dignity.
ada controversial issue pertaining to this movie...ada org2 merusuh ke set penggambaran derang nih... sbbnya SLB decide nak masukkan scene cintan cintun antara padmavati ngan Allaudin Khilji...sbb dalam history xde pun wujud apa2 hubungan antara keduanya sbb by the time Allaudin Khilji sampai nak 'takluk' padmavati...dia dah bakaq diri dia...
apa2 pun i look forward lah... menarik tgk watak ranveer kali nih... ranveer ni wpun pangai mcm beruk tp bab berlakon mmg A+
persoalannya babak controversy tu dikekalkan ke tak dalam pilem...? padmavati nih ala2 mahsuri lam dalam masyarakat Rajasthan....dats why very sensitive bila ada cubaan nak olah2 cerita ni....
....tp deepika x menarik2 i lah nak layan movie nih....sbb that look and gesture sama ja mcm mastani.... yang menarik is shahid kapoor and ranveer singh....
...plus....both deepika and ranveer mengalami depression ketika ka selepas berlakon pilem ni....x ingat dah i... begitu depa punya menghayati watak...but knowing SLB....mmg gitu style dia... dats why aku x heran kalau hero ngan heroine sampai bercinta ke luar set.... mcm apa yg jadi kat ash-salman dalam hum dil de chuke sanam... nampak sungguh2 ash tangkap leleh ngan sallu...

....i pun tatau ceta nih pasai apa...x tengok pun lagi... hehehe...tp ni pilem SLB juga... rasanya lepas pilem ni depa stat dating....until now...tp one thing la kapel nih...altough nampak masam sket pada mata i tp suka akan keterbukaan derang... sempoiii sgt...

Tp looking forward sbb nk tgk Ranveer (walaupun nampak busuk) dan Shahid... Sesuatu yg berbeza drp mereka berdua...

I ada baca news yg SLB offered padhmavati to aishwarya n salman khan.but syarat aish nk salman amik watak ranveer so xde scene cinta n babak bersama.salman pulak nk watak shahid sb nk hidupkan kembali chemistry cinta mereka masa film ptama mereka.ended up aish terus reject.
Dgr pulak aish ada jemputan dlm muvi ni for one song.
tp lagunya baru ni - gholmaar tak leh celen bajirao mastaani - dewaani mastaani ataupun ramleela - nagashandol wlpn dr penyanyi yg sama, sheryal ghosal
