Starring Melissa Benoist as Superman’s Kryptonian cousin, the series follows the iconic heroine as she makes her public debut as a fully-fledged superhero. She’ll star alongside Golden Globe winner Calista Flockhart as Cat Grant and Mehcad Brooks as Jimmy Olsen. Spearheading DC Entertainment’s latest superhero series are The Flash and Arrow executive producers Greg Berlanti and Andrew Kreisberg, along with Ali Adler and Sarah Schecter.
SUPERGIRL is an action-adventure drama based on the DC Comics character Kara Zor-El (Melissa Benoist), Superman’s (Kal-El) cousin who, after 12 years of keeping her powers a secret on Earth, decides to finally embrace her superhuman abilities and be the hero she was always meant to be. Twelve-year-old Kara escaped the doomed planet Krypton with her parents’ help at the same time as the infant Kal-El. Protected and raised on Earth by her foster family, the Danvers, Kara grew up in the shadow of her foster sister, Alex (Chyler Leigh), and learned to conceal the phenomenal powers she shares with her famous cousin in order to keep her identity a secret. Years later at 24, Kara lives in National City assisting media mogul and fierce taskmaster Cat Grant (Golden Globe Award winner Calista Flockhart), who just hired the Daily Planet’s former photographer, James Olsen (Mehcad Brooks), as her new art director. However, Kara’s days of keeping her talents a secret are over when Hank Henshaw (David Harewood), head of a super-secret agency where her sister also works, enlists her to help them protect the citizens of National City from sinister threats. Though Kara will need to find a way to manage her newfound empowerment with her very human relationships, her heart soars as she takes to the skies as Supergirl to fight crime. Greg Berlanti (“The Flash,” “Arrow”), Ali Adler, Sarah Schecter and Andrew Kreisberg are executive producers for Berlanti Productions in association with Warner Bros. Television. The pilot was directed by Glen Winter (“Arrow”). Supergirl premieres this November for a Monday night 8:00 p.m. time-slot on CBS.
ramai fan mahu tom welling jadi superman...yang pasti bukan henry cavill sebab wb & dc comic awal2 lagi dah cakap tv series & filem adalah dalam separate universe...
overal aku tak rasa series ni akan berjaya kalo dia terlalu focus on supergirls power dan cerita ttg selamat2 kan org....that is sooo 1990s Lois & Clark format. Zaman skrg org nak cerita dari angle yg lebih menarik mcm GOtham, Daredevil, but tunggu e la tgk amcm...hopefully it gets better and will not get cancelled to early

Paling yg aku EXPECTED...as The Flash, yg jadi bapak Barry was the original Flash in the 90s, the same goes for this one, bapak angkat Kara is Dean Cain Clark in Lois and Clark and mak angkat dia ialah 1984 Supergirl movie Helen Slater
for 6 years akhirnya Supergirl akan labuhkan tirai ingatkan panjang lagi ler ....
but masuk season 5 macam kurang menarik
but then again we wait how the ending will end
am gonna miss Kara being klutzy when she see Lena Luthor .. LOL
and hopefully Brainiac will start dating with Nia Nal aka The Dreamer
hari-hari asyik lawan dengan orang jahat especially Lex Luthor
