‘Influencer’ cantik, Irene Gu mati dikelar

Seorang pesohor media sosial, Irene Gu, 23, ditemukan dengan lehernya dikelar selepas diculik di luar sebuah panggung wayang di Taiwan, lapor sebuah akhbar hari ini.


Kejadian berlaku ketika dia memandu meninggalkan tempat letak kereta panggung wayang berkenaan di Taipei.


Keretanya tiba-tiba dihalang oleh suspek iaitu teman lelakinya sendiri.


Menurut laporan, pertengkaran tercetus, dan suspek bernama Liu menarik Irene ke sebuah tangga berdekatan sebelum menggelar leher mangsa.


Selepas kejadian itu, Liu melarikan diri ke rumah datuknya di bahagian lain pulau tersebut tetapi ditangkap polis keesokan harinya.  


Semasa soal siasat, Liu mengaku membunuh Irene kerana ingin mendapatkan semula wang £10,530 (RM63,000) yang didakwa dipinjamkan kepada mangsa.


Irene yang mempunyai 30,000 pengikut di laman Instagram dan Threads, bekerja sebagai pegawai perhubungan awam (PR) sebuah kelab malam di Taipei.


Liu bekerja di kelab sama sebagai pengawal keselamatan.


Pasangan itu berkenalan ketika Irene mengikuti cadangan ibunya untuk pergi ke kelab malam bagi ‘melihat dunia’.


Dia kemudian meninggalkan kerjaya dalam bidang perbankan untuk bekerja dalam sebagai PR supaya dapat menyesuaikan gaya hidup dan jadual kerja dengan Liu.


Namun, hubungan mereka merosot dan Irene memfailkan aduan penderaan terhadap Liu pada Mei lalu serta memohon perintah perlindungan.


Walaupun berulang kali dipanggil ke mahkamah, Liu gagal hadir.


Beberapa hari sebelum kematiannya, Irene menyiarkan gambar aduan penderaannya bersama kapsyen: “Kalau kamu pukul saya, saya akan buat laporan polis, kan?”


Dalam hantaran lain, dia menulis: “Ada yang tanya kenapa saya tak sekadar sekat (block) dia? Sebab dia akan cari saya. Dia tanya kawan sekerja sama ada saya ada di tempat kerja dan ganggu mereka. Yang paling penting, saya tak berhutang dengannya!”


Siasatan kes pembunuhan itu masih berjalan.  – AGENSI
