First, go to the passwords.google.com account recovery page.
Enter the Google/Gmail ID for which you want to recover your password. Click Next'.
When you are prompted for the account password you remembered from last time, enter it, or if you don't know the password, click the "Try something else" option.
After that, click on the "I forgot my password" option.
Then check your phone number inbox and Google will notify you with a message.
You will then receive a password reset number/code message on your phone number.
Then match that pair of numbers with the phone number you received. Touch "Yes".
Once you've been promoted to the recovery page, create a new password and re-enter the confirmation password in the required text field. Click Next'.
