Ancient Castles?????

Hmm...have been to any ancient castles in the world???like Caerphilly , or Bran or Leeds or Warwick castle??i think its quit interesting......:solute::hatdown:

I would love to visit the castles some day.  I think Ireland would be the best country to go to for that.

Only have been to Cardiff, Beaumaris and Aberystwyth (Wales) and Edinburgh (Scotland). Aber castle is really ruins only but its kinda 'mystical' when one is there esp. during the winter.

Kalo saya berpeluang naik kapalterbang dan pegi nengok Castle, saya nak pegi Castle Donington ( ada ejaan ialah Donnington ). Dari kecik selalu dengar dan baca pasal tempat ni. Dalam kawasan Donington Park tu pun ada sloping open field untuk buat rock concert dan ada track racing macam kat Sepang untuk lumba keta dan motor.






Built in 1385. It was destroyed in the Civil War in 1644 but the front twin towers of the gatehouse remain. The walls are visible, but are only one to two feet in height.

Ronaldo, pemain bola Brazil/Real Madrid sepatutnye kawin ngan makwe dia kat sini this week ke last week aku dah lupa, tapi kena kensel pasal security approval dia tak settlekan.

actually aku pun kurang pasti pasal definisi 'ancient'.. adakah medieval dikira ancient?.. atau ancient tu zaman2 egypt/mesopotamia.. etc.

kalau tak silap.. tempat paling banyak castle kat sebuah negeri dlm Spain.. negeri tu  pun dinamakan 'castile'' .. :hmm:

Carcassone.. not a castle.. but a fortified medieval town in France..




Asian castle?.. Himeji castle in Japan




Dracula castle.. Bran castle owned by Vlad Tepes.. apsal tak ngeri pun??

begantung pada kedudukan le.. kalo master/lady of the castle .. dok dalam bilik yg dipanggil 'solar'.. kat situ takde le rasa mcm dlm dungeon sbb byk cahaya masuk..

kalo servant/peasant mmg tidur himpit2 kat great hall kasi panaskan badan.. maklum le dulu2 takde kaca nak halang angin sejuk masuk.. hehe

itu org msia je yg panggil castle.. sebenarnya bukan castle.. tapi mansion/manor.. ;)

castle ada fortified curtain wall.. ada gatehouse.. etc.. guna utk pertahanan..
