Laurent Koscielny's early red card proved crucial as James Milner and Edin Dzeko fired Manchester City to a 2-0 win at Arsenal.
The centre-back saw red in the 10th minute for wrestling Dzeko to the ground before the striker could test Wojciech Szczesny.
Despite missing the spot-kick, Dzeko tapped home his side's second from close range after Milner opened the scoring.

Chelsea survived a spirited but futile Arsenal fightback in the second half at Stamford Bridge as they clung on for a 2-1 win in the Premier League.
Arsene Wenger's side were unspeakably dismal in the first half as Chelsea opened up a two-goal lead inside 16 minutes thanks to a lovely control and finish from Juan Mata and a penalty from Frank Lampard that put the Chelsea captain within seven of the club's all-time scoring record.
However, the complexion of the match changed completely at half-time, a rejuvenated Arsenal pulling one back on 58 minutes when the freshly-contracted Theo Walcott finished excellently from a wonderful pass from Santi Cazorla.
MAN OF THE MATCH
Juan Mata (Chelsea) - A superb opening goal from the Spaniard and though Chelsea lost their way in the second half, he always looked in full control.

An amazing second-half salvo gave Arsenal a resounding 5-1 victory over fellow Londoners West Ham at the Emirates Stadium.
Jack Collison's wicked drive put the visitors ahead in the first half for all of four minutes before Lukas Podolski levelled with an equally-impressive effort.
And before the second half was too old, Arsene Wenger's men went goal-mad as Olivier Giroud (twice), Santi Cazorla and Theo Walcott all scored in a brutal 10-minute period, during which Podolski added three assists in less than five minutes to his man-of-the-match performance.

The rested Theo Walcott though came off the bench to give Arsenal the victory five minutes from time, although he needed a huge deflection from Adam El-Abd to score what ultimately proved to be the winner.
