The national flag of Brunei was adopted on September 29, 1959 when the country was a British protectorate, and was retained when the country gained full independence on January 1, 1984, as Brunei Darussalam (State of Brunei, Abode of Peace). The flag has the Coat of Arms of Brunei in the centre, on a yellow field. The field is cut by black and white diagonal stripes, although they are officially called parallelograms.

The coat of arms is as follows: a crescent (symbolising Islam) joined with a parasol (symbolising monarchy), and two gloves on both sides. Below the crescent is a ribbon. On the crescent and ribbon are Arabic inscriptions translating as "State of Brunei, Abode of peace" and "There is no god but Allah; Muhammad is the messenger of Allah" (more commonly rendered as "There is no deity but God, Muhammad is the messenger of God".

ada eh lagu atu.. tapi bukan pulang lagu atu lagu tradisional, tetapi lagu baru kana buat baru baru ani..

kana nyanyikan oleh the local artists..

Laila pernah tengok article ni,

ada satu pembetulan nak buat, sebetulnya tak der tertulis tentang "there is no god but Allah and mohammad is the messenger of  Allah" kat panji panji tu, tetapi sebetulnya ini :

'SENTIASA MEMBUAT KEBAJIKAN DENGAN PETUNJUK ALLAH'

yang lainnya seperti "Brunei abode of peace " tu memang ada dan betul

memang best jenjalan kat atas titian (jambatan kayu) tu...sambil tngk keadaan rumah dan kehidupan org2 kG Air...fresh air...siap ngan bunyi bot2 yg bnyk pass by ....sambil hom amik gambar...siap ada satu pemandu bot teksi tu offer hom a ride to Kg Air....$10 jerk he told me
memang dia ingat hom ni tourist kot...

then hom walked further up lagikk...carik the right titian (jambatan kayu)...so that hom leh masuk menyusur ke dlm kawasan Kg Air tu...best le..korang kalo ada opportunity should come over and experience yourself... :ah:

memang kat Kg Air ni all facilities are provided sama gak ngan kat darat...elektrik, fresh water, telephone lines etc....even ada sistem pungut sampah lagikk.

from here pong nmpk bangunan Ministry of Foreign Affairs kat Subok (yg kat bakang tu)..located kat atas bukit tu...then bangunan yg kat depan tu is Bangunan Pusat Arts & Handicraft..

boats owned by the Kg Air people..most elder people here are fishermen...but the younger ones usually work for the Government or private sectors..


went through this titian on my way out...good bye Kg Air...it was a great day!
