United and Spurs agree Carrick deal
England midfielder Michael Carrick is set to join Manchester United from Tottenham Hotspur after the Premier League clubs agreed a deal on Friday.
"The club can announce that it is has agreed a deal with Manchester United for the transfer of Michael Carrick, subject to the player agreeing personal terms and passing a medical," Spurs announced on their Web site.
Tottenham coach Martin Jol said the player was determined to leave.
"This is a move that Michael wants to make. We have given him every reason to stay, but he has asked to be allowed to leave," he said.
Carrick, who joined Spurs for 2.75 million pounds from West Ham United two years ago, has two years left on his contract but has declined to sign an extension.
The midfielder, who turned 25 on Friday, has seven England caps but made only one appearance at this year's World Cup in the 1-0 second-round win over Ecuador. |

anyway Man U still kener cari sorang defensive midfielder...Carrick bukan DM.... dier lebih kpd atacking... so xleh ganti Captain Keano...... calon plg sesuai x lain x bukan Mascherano...:tq:

keeper van besar tuh masih buleh pakai tuk season nih.... since line up defender pon cun.. tak payah laa dulu beli yg power mower.... build up dulu midfiled... actually midfield MU nih dari last season tak mantap.. tuh yg leceh tuh... |

honestly, aku doubt if carrick is any better than the existing midfielders in MU....
i feel he'll be another waste of money... |

get mascherano........diorg kener work in tandem... x leh gerak sorg2....actually carrick nie lebih mcm Scholes, bukan Keano... ball distribution pon bagus gak.....long ball dier ok.... |
