The former was directed by Clint Eastwood, and the latter was directed by Haggis. Though both films are critically acclaimed, Peña received attention for his particularly emotional performance in Crash. The following year, he appeared on the Golden Globe-winning series The Shield. In 2006, he starred in Oliver Stone's film based on the September 11, 2001 attacks, World Trade Center. He also had a small role in Alejandro González Iñárritu's film Babel. His role is listed as "Wagenmeister".
In Byzantium (2012), a film directed by Neil Jordan, he appears alongside Gemma Arterton and Saoirse Ronan as Darvell.
In 2012, Riley was cast as Diaval in Disney's Maleficent, alongside Angelina Jolie.[4] The film was released May 2014.

Emma Watson, 27, starred in the movie series of a generation — and went beyond that.Emma Watson at an event for her film "The Circle." Pascal Le Segretain/Getty Images
Of the three main stars of the "Harry Potter" series, Emma Watson has by far been the most successful.
The movies inspired a generation of fans and is famous enough to shape pretty much everyone involved — we'll always know Michael Gambon as Albus Dumbledore and Maggie Smith as Professor McGonagall.
Daniel Radcliffe continued acting, using his clout to advance fascinating, risky projects like "Swiss Army Man" and "A Young Doctor's Notebook." Rupert Grint is milling around the British movie industry and watching "RuPaul's Drag Race."
But Emma Watson has taken a career turn that makes her bigger than just an actor. Yes, she's great in movies like "The Bling Ring," "This is the End," and "Beauty and the Beast." But she's also a UN Women Goodwill ambassador for gender equality, a proponent of reading, and a fan of education. That's what makes her inspiring.

Emma Stone, 29, has gone from comedies and superhero movies to Oscar-nominated darling.Emma Stone at the 2018 Vanity Fair Oscar party. Dia Dipasupil/Getty Images
After breakout roles in "Zombieland" and "Easy A," Stone starred as Spider-Man's love interest in two movies.
A role in "The Help" showed that Stone was destined for more than a sarcastic, pretty face. She earned her first Oscar nomination for 2014's "Birdman." Though she didn't win that, a lead in the revival of Broadway's "Cabaret," led to a role in "La La Land," which ultimately landed Stone her first best actress Oscar.
We're sure this is just the start.

Daisy Ridley was relatively unknown in some bit roles before landing the coveted lead role in Disney's new "Star Wars" trilogy. Her popularity led to the demand of more female "Star Wars" action figures when the supply of Rey figures didn't meet demand.
Ridley went from a galaxy far, far away to a murder mystery in the "Murder on the Orient Express" adaptation. 2018 will be a big year for the actress as she'll star in two movies — "Ophelia" and "Peter Rabbit" — and start filming 2019’s "Star Wars: Episode IX."
Ridley's infectious and bubbly attitude on the interview circuit has quickly won over fans around the world to make her a beloved sweetheart and one to watch.

Brie Larson won a best actress Oscar when she was 25 and is about to be a Marvel superhero.Brie Larson at the 2017 Toronto International Film Festival. Sam Santos/Getty Images for Nespresso
Brie Larson, 28, is one of the busiest actresses in Hollywood, hardly going a year without three or four movies hitting theaters. In 2016, she won a best actress Oscar for her starring role in "Room," beating out Cate Blanchett and perennial nominee Jennifer Lawrence. And in 2019, she'll join the Avengers as Captain Marvel in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Offscreen, Larson is famous for her trenchant feminism. She set the tone early and publicly for Hollywood's current backlash towards sexual harassment. After she handed Casey Affleck's best actor award to him at the 2017 Oscar ceremony, she refused to clap and later said her demeanor "spoke for itself."

John Vivian Drummond Nettles,[2] OBE, (born 11 October 1943)[3] is an English actor and author. He is best known for his starring roles as detectives in the crime drama television series Bergerac (1981–1991) in the title role, and Midsomer Murders (1997–2011) as Detective Inspector Tom Barnaby. He has also narrated several television series.

Nettles played Laertes to Tom Courtenay's Hamlet in 1969 at the University Theatre for 69 Theatre Company in Manchester. From 1969 to 1970, he was in repertory at the Northcott Theatre in Exeter, and in the latter year had his first screen role in the film One More Time. The following year he played Dr. Ian Mackenzie in the period drama A Family at War, a role he continued until 1972. Following that he had small parts in many TV programmes including The Liver Birds, Dickens of London, Robin of Sherwood and an episode of Enemy at the Door called "Officers of the Law", first broadcast in March 1978. The latter was set in Guernsey during the German occupation of the Channel Islands in the Second World War and Nettles played a police detective ordered to work for the Germans, who is anguished over the conflict between his duty and collaborating with the enemy.
In 1981 Nettles became a household name in the UK when Robert Banks Stewart cast him as Jim Bergerac in the Jersey-set crime drama Bergerac.[8][9] The series ran for 87 episodes on BBC1 until 1991. Following the end of Bergerac, Nettles did five seasons with the Royal Shakespeare Company,[5] appearing in The Winter's Tale, The Merry Wives of Windsor, Julius Caesar, Richard III and The Devil is an Ass.[10] In 1992 he appeared in an episode of Boon, and in 1993 reprised the role of Jim Bergerac in a guest appearance in the spoof police comedy The Detectives.
In 1995 Nettles was approached by Brian True-May to play Tom Barnaby in a new murder mystery series he was to produce called Midsomer Murders.[5] This was to be the second major role of his television career, again playing a police detective. Midsomer Murders was an immediate hit, achieving 13.5 million viewers on its launch in 1997 and was sold to more than 200 countries worldwide.[11] In 2001 Nettles guest-starred in an episode of Heartbeat playing fraudster Giles Sutton. In 2003 he played Barnaby in the Boxing Day episode of French & Saunders. In 2007 he appeared in the BBC Radio 4 comedy series Will Smith Presents the Tao of Bergerac, alongside comedian Will Smith, which was about an obsessive fan of the series.
In February 2009, it was announced that Nettles had decided to leave Midsomer Murders after two further series were made.[11] His final appearance on-screen was on 2 February 2011, by which time he had appeared in 81 episodes.[12] About his departure, he commented, "It’s always wise to leave people wanting more, rather than be booed off the stage because you bored them."[13]
In 2016 and 2017, Nettles had a recurring role as Ray Penvenen in the second and third seasons of the popular historical drama Poldark.
