hi everyone. im new here and feel interested to join all of u. so, i will try my best to post in english. please correct me if im wrong. actually i just started read the english novels. hope it can be worked. i am quite worry because this is my final year in university. so then i am afraid to adapt and face the next step after graduating.( working) one problem is im not really well with english. i can speak confidently but when it comes to writing..

how can i improve my writing skills?
other than reading what else that i can do..
i hope every one can give me some suggestions. actually im doing my final year project with a foreigener. every time we are doing work i will try to speak in english with her with correct grammar and pronouciation. sometimes i lost my words because of thinking too much of my grammar mistake. any suggestion will do as long as i can improve my speaking skills instead of my writing.

i got the word "forummer" from other board.

i will be back to my campus this coming sunday. i hope i still have some times to post something here because this is the busiest sem ever.i have to do my final year project.

back to my final year project. my project is about sediment pattern in Pulau Aman. i try to talk with the foreigner but sometime she makes me feel stress. she is a PHD student and always underestimate our local university. i hope she will reflect on what she had said.

good question -

honestly I'm not so sure myself what were you trying to tell -
however judging from all those slang -
I think it should be written as : -

Nobody can stop us from ruling this world...!!!

simple and easy to understand -

those slang are more suitable in writing informal
letters or converse with your friends instead of writing
a school essay -

actually during my secondary school, i had no interested in english... for me english was most bored subject.....unfortunately, my favourite subjects, science and mathematics was taught in english.. so from that i always used a dictionary... oklah i can added my vocabulary but my grammar, writing still bad.... i got 4b in spm last year....

and now, i study at matriculation, and must using english language everyday...before this, i always worried and no self confident because my english really bad.....how can i survive my study..? after a few week in here, i tried to learn english....and now i'm really interesting to learn and repair my english....i'm happy however my language still bad...

ohh very long.....definitely there are many mistakes right..?(i felt ashamed actually

i applaud you for your brave and great expression in convey your
feeling towards learning english -

a few mistakes here and there but not a biggie really and definitely can
be improved in due time -

please do not feel ashamed about it because everybody learns from mistakes
and that's the only way or i must say the best way to improve your english -

getting 4b in spm was great - congratulations -
and now that you're in matriculation and english is your medium language
i am sure that soon you're going to be fluent in english - but not without
practicing and using the language as often as you can -

thus - as you mentioned - you can use this thread as one of the platforms to learn
and improve your writing skills -

there'll be many forum members that can help out as well - and you can post in
here anything your heart desires - stories, poems or whatnot -

Let me introduce myself. I'm a 3rd year college student. It's hard sometimes, as I'm not an English native speaker, to learn new things everyday in English. Plus, I have to explain things that I'm not really sure about, with my supervisors and sometimes my friends in English. I have this bad luck thing with English since primary school. I had never got A's no matter how hard I learned and used it. Maybe I'm not destined to speak English for the rest of my life. hehe. joking.

Therefore, I really hope people in here are willing to help me to improve my English, be my friends and be blessed for the cooperation.

But this kinda phrases is pretty much "in" thin' in Spoken Eng & Informal Eng.
I just wanna make sure what the h*ll is actually the phrases are all 'bout.

But the phrases ain't correct, rite?

i understood what you're trying to say.. and yes actually it is better to use
shorter sentences...

i often used short sentences be it while speaking or writing an essay
because it is easier to convey the messages -

many students faced this similar problem as yours; direct translation
word for word from bahasa to English..

this is because most of us often think in Malay and will translate those
words in our mind in English

the only thing you can overcome this direct translation (because usually
the sentence structure will be odd), is to read lots of english books
and magazines, and converse in English as much as you can -

imho, your english is not bad at all and can improve in no time - provided
you are willing to learn from the mistakes and be brave to use it regardless
what other people will say -
