just my view
i read all the posts in the thread,actually i'm not a regular visitor here since i prefer another english forum..but there are lots of non malay there..
anyway,i made a conclusion to say that there is differences the way Malay and non-malay thinks about education.. Malay just want everything cheap , subsidize..the parents seldom make a save for their children education..
for non malay they realize they have limited opportunities to enter public uni so they tend to go for private inst although the fees is higher..and their parents are prepared with some save in the bank..
so thats why when i read the posts here i'm a bit surprise when talking bout IPTS,all stuff that come out is expensive. Whereas in other forum, i didnt see this stuff.For examples,MMU(like the thread title here). Its a bit pricey,but the price is actually cheaper compare to other institutions and u get good degree througout ur study.
there's some forumer talking about uitm,well uitm is good,but i have one fact here,UiTM will never be a world class university for simple reason as there is no other races and international students.THES ranking method include international students population.No wonder they cant broke into THES 200 top uni although was established from 1955.Further more, staying in ur own community is not good for ur personal development and i can see this clearly.
anyway i just read some articles about graduates employability in malaysia made by VC of UiTM. u can read here http://www.uitmvc.edu.my/article.cfm?id=132
quite suprise to see a private uni tops the chart for employability rate. but then i realize private inst. emphasize on English more than public uni.. thats why i can see lots of nowadays graduates have bad english which is not good for our country..

i've 1 of my friend who obtained CGPA below 2 for more than 1 trimester but entitled to stay at MMU...emm if you're in public universities maybe you'll be dismissed...emm i think MMU should think about that, don't just think about money (mmu-money making universities) hehe....but didn't maintain their quality...but in the other hand some of my friends at mmu had better result and easily get job after graduating.... |

i don't think study in uitm makes me not compatible with other races despite we compete among our races only...we are not teaching how to be prejudice to other races even uitm grads preferable by non-malay employers....
maybe in certain extent we're not same as other universities but the main idea of establishing uitm is just to improve and protect the Malay interest...even in Japan has a woman university..
.i think uitm has their own class and the special identity of uitm should be protected.....actually uitm try to become world class university but it still very far, but it is not impossible.... |

my fren just told me the truth..ur fact is not correct..
if u got 2 for 2 consecutive trimester ..then u are terminated..but u can apply to reinstate ur status..but there is one condition..u need to attend President Special Camp.. this camp is for students who got terminated..at the camp,they will be brainwash and do some social works |

its total bull**** if u say uitm/malay graduates are preferable to non-malay company.. if u understand real world in malaysia,most big companies wont hired malay graduates instead they will hire chinese..
reason?easy.. malay has control the education in the country..in IPTA,very hard for non-malay to enter.. and in real world, malay will find it difficult to enter top position..
CEO is malay? just want to make it easier for them to get government projects:stp: |

don't be so prejudice...i think if u are good it doesn't matter whether u are malay or non malay...it depends on your ability...well, not all like that but i see many of my friends work at such big companies, i don't see malay graduates are not compatible compared to others grads...some good and some maybe bad but it depends on your attitude.... |

ok, MMU nie subsidiary TM Group...maknanyer bawah TM la...so x payah la nak risau MMU nak lingkup..mmg x kan lingkup punyer... pastu ada 2 kampus, satu kat melaka, satu kat cyber... for alpha @ foundation students kat melaka la.... except for alpha creative multimedia... & yg plg best kat mana2 U pon of course la co-curricular acivities... banyak btol tech fair, pameran itu ini, festive night, culture night, prom..mcm2 la.... pastu sesaper yg raser diri tuh dah power sgt main bola, haaa....masuk la MMU champions Cup... try lawan team Tornado.... semua bdk international... badan sekor2 pergh.... haa...lg satu MMU nie ramai student Arab & Africans.... so korang boleh tgk la org Arab bawak pisau g semayang jumaat....heheh...
lg satu, bleh tgk skill memandu bebudak arab & afrika yg kalo karamjit singh tgk bleh nangis wooo....kancil terbangggg.....
