Caceres will play his part Caceres will play his part

PERAK扴 dynamic duo Khalid Jamlus and Carlos Caceres have been showing a lethal combin tion in their hunt for goals of late.

The duo, who have scored 16 goals between themselves so far, have silenced some protesting fans who even wanted man ager-coach Steve Darby to be sacked for reasons only known to them.
Khalid and Caceres will again be relied upon to produce yet again that fine attacking combination in Perak抯 tough match against Selangor at Shah Alam Stadium tomorrow.
Darby is happy with the performance of Khalid and Caceres, but the Chilean was recently ab used without any mercy by a group of fans who claimed he was not performing.
Khalid, is the current leading scorer with nine goals while Caceres has already scored seven goals despite all the furore caused by some of the fans.
揑 am happy with the progress made by Caceres. He has been scoring goals, and not only that, he also make assists for Khalid,

Selangor will play without Frank Seator, their goal getter. Selangor re-emergence to the second rung of the table was contributed largely to his presence. Seator is paid to score goals. And he did them unmercifully.
Without him, Selangor is toothless. The local Selangor strike force in Akmal and Indra has not been productive. Amri Yahya had been insignificant. Their middle is still erratic and Shukor had not been dominant, and their defense is sometimes questionable. But they still chalked up the wins due to soft schedule and playing against weaker opponents. An offensive minded team like Perak will shred the Selangor defenses to threads.
On the Perak side, the duo combinations of Khalid and Carlos had been clicking correctly at the right moment. The goal output between them had been impressive in the last 4 games. Caceres knows where Khalid is, and Khalid knows what good open shots for Caceres to take. Their chemistry is working. Resulting in critical wins for the Perak team.
Fans and Perak management have to admit that the Chileans trio had settled down with the local players. It must be culturally shock for these Latinos to play Perak style of game dictated by the English tempo game format and strategies.
Hard tackling midfielder Jorge Mu駉z, provides stability in the middle. He is tough, and he is not afraid to use his body as weapon to challenge opponents. His reading of the game had increased too. His straight through passes from middle to Caceres is on target, and at the right time. Other supporting midfielders in Ahmad Shahrul who抯 playing quality and leadership had increased too. When he played cool and controlled, Perak seemed to win. If he gets emotional and lose concentration, Perak may get into trouble in the middle.
The back tree defenders in Berrios, Chan Win Hoong and Azlan had formed an impenetrable wall of defense. In the last two games, they have not let any single goals. That抯 an indication, they are able to read the defenses well and neutralized offensive attacks.
Using his height and size, Berrios is quick to read the offense and control the ball with ease. He has reduces several previous mistakes that he did early in the season. He has also settled down.
All these units of this Perak Latino team are in form. They are cohesive, fluid, and dynamic. They played as one, and no fans issues to distract them.
Steve Darby, as the major tactician had learned to keep his tongue in check, He needs to focus more on the job at hand, than worrying about his diplomatic row with Yob fans. He will regain his respect with the Yob fans, if he keeps on piling the wins. His misdemeanor will be forgiven, and forgotten. Perak Yobs are forgiving lot.
The Stadium Shah Alam had good balanced field. Thanks to MBSA for their diligent work. My tax service money is being put into good use. The grass texture, and good field water irrigation system in place is well suited for Perak soccer. Perak liked to play on this field. Perak likes a fast offensive style of play, and Perak seldom loses in this stadium. Steve complimented this field and lamented on the field at the Perak stadium frequently. A hint to the Majlis Bandaraya Ipoh (MBI) to do something about the field condition at Perak stadium.
The game between Seladang and Red Giants has always been interesting. Their rivalry goes back to colonial times, during communist emergency, and during the pre and post Merdeka era.
There is no lost love between these two teams. The Chileans imports will learn about this. They will know this as their test of manhood
PERAK coach Steve Darby's high regards for the Selangor strikers have led him to predict a hard time for his central defenders K. Nanthakumar and Mario Estaban in a Malaysian Super League match at Shah Alam tonight.
But Darby is glad Nanthakumar and Estaban -- who have helped make Perak arguably the strongest defence in the league -- have what it takes to repel the Selangor attacks.
"Nantha is like a virus, you can't get rid of him. Even when he makes a slip, Estaban will come in to cover.
"The duo have never let me down and it is due to their good work we beat Terengganu 2-0 last Tuesday," said Darby.
Darby pointed out that Selangor have some of the best strikers in the league in Frank Seator, R. Surendran, Indra Putra Mahiyuddin and Akmal Rizal. Indonesian Elie Aiboy is the latest addition.
Darby said apart from Nanthakumar and Estaban, he is counting on Chan Wing Hoong and goalkeeper Mohamed Hamsani Ahmad to make the Perak defence a fortress.
Darby said Perak can overcome Selangor if the defenders carry out their duties well.
"Hamsani was the hero against Terengganu when he saved a number of shots and he has conceded only six goals in nine matches, and one was a penalty."
Perak, who stayed unbeaten against Selangor home and away last season, will look to strikers Khalid Jamlus and Carlos Caceres to do the damage against the Red Giants.
Khalid has scored nine goals this season, while Caceres has seven to his credit.
