Ish tak reti lak nak guna Forum ni tapi I am so interested in the topics being discussed.

I am waiting for my final level ACCA result this 21st! Aiyoh mati lah gue. I went for a few interviews kalau tak pass mesti the offers from the co's would be void kan? That's what they told me

I am a fresh grad and so hoping to start working soon.

Ninz : Failures in ACCA perkara biasa. Most of my friends now are working while pursuing their ACCA. That's why they give us 10 years to complete the whole course, cuz they know it ain't that easy!! Anyway all the best for this Monday!!

wat kind of companies u applied for?not sure lah if u dun pass the papers,they wont offer u a place..takkan camtu kot...

I applied for CIMB, EY, Grant Thornton and PwC.

All of the companies except Grant Thornton cakap they might not consider taking me in kalau I fail. Ye la sebab ramai lagi yang dah habis ACCA apply kat diorang kan. I ada Diploma aje, belum buat Oxford Brookes Degree. Rasa macam nak buat lah nanti, cuz the submission date is October.

I sat for 3.5, 3.6 and 3.7. Second seating dah! Sob sob. Kalau fail lagi tak tahu la...

Ninz, you full-time student ke? I think OK aje kalau you x de work experience but if you have work experience definitely it would help.

I came from a college where my friends semua full-time student and ramai jugak yang pass. Tak dinafikan ada jugak yang kena repeat beberapa kali. Then diorang kerja sambil belajar.

Kalau dah lama sangat, I rasa kerja sambil belajar is a good option for you to consider.

I was a full time student, I start from Level 2 until core papers. Kalau I fail Isnin nie, I work while studying lahhh.

anyways yes i am considering working and doing ACCA at the same time..
but whatever it is i will try my best to get it..damn!

looks like ur preference is for audit firms?
i know sumone who is working with CIMB
salary byk but must work like a dog la....mlm baru balik hehe
can get alot of bonus..tak silap i hari tu 1 year bonus dia dpt

Ha ah I final tapi ya Allah memang la sesak nafas jugak nak sampai final level ni tau...failures tu mmg dah biasa la...

Optional I sat for 3.3 and 3.4 I amik yang mudah-mudah aje. But 3.1 is a good optional paper for you if you are seriously considering a career in auditing.

I think auditing will be a good platform for me, I tak rasa nak stay lama2 kat audit ni, dalam 2 to 3 years je then I consider other better options lah...

CIMB I takat 2nd interview aje!! Takde pulak call for 3rd interview...takpe la takde rezeki kot kat situ, it's ok kerja audit dulu nanti bila dah 2 to 3 yrs n audit bila keluar gaji lagi banyak dari setahun bonus we just need patience in us.

Ninz kenapa amik option paper 3.1 and 3.2. Ramai orang cakap susah and I admire you for having the guts to sit for those 2 papers. I amik yg senang2 sebab nak grad cepat but nanti in the future kalau ada masa I nak amik lagi 2 paper option 3.1 and 3.2 (bila dah grad). Cuz bila dh ada experience kerja boleh la relate to those 2 papers I rasa

Yup I study kat London amik my ACCA. Not bad lah since most of the lecturers are quite close to the examiners and they are the markers themselves. I think that helps in term of students kat sana pass. But then tak tentu jugak. I have a lot of friends kat Malaysia amik ACCA, slowly but surely, they pass. I know you are one of them

I nak ty...pasal ACCA, untuk exemption tu leh buat rayuan tak....actually i planned ti tak ethe exam next year...well to prepare first...so i've check in ACCA website regarding to the exemption but...i'm curious coz one of the paper are not exempted while i already taken the course as mention by them for me to exempt that paper.

ecam : I terkantoi paper 3.6 Advanced Corporate Reporting lah...sedih nye...so I have to re-sit the paper in December. Nasib baik 1 je, but still, when I could have become an affiliate now...mungkin rezeki lambat sikit.

I tak tahu lah ACCA ni sebenarnya macam pelik aje. Ada orang tu tak brilliant sgt tapi senang aje nak pass, some ppl tu pandai sangat tapi asyik tak pass2 je...Which brings me to a conclusion that ACCA does not only take into account your knowledge, but also a pinch of your analytical skills, two cupfuls of exam techniques, and a teaspoonful of luck. Ohh also depends on where you choose your exam centre. Kalo amik kat negeri2 lain other than KL, Selangor, JB and Penang, better chances of passing.

Ninz : You do self-study ke? If you're in KL there are a few good colleges....

Ninz : Sunway College is a good college indeed plus dia nye accreditation is Premier Plus tuition provider for ACCA kan. But Sunway College kalau tak silap I dah start classes dia lama dah, they don't do short-term fast track 3 months cemtu, which means you are a bit late if you plan on to sit for the December exam. But you can always enquire at the college. I have friends studying there. I tak penah study situh, amik exam kat situ penah aa 2 years back huhu.

But Sunway bagus la, they give you assignments, they keep track of your individual performance, I heard dia even ada mock exams kalau you tak perform dia suh you quit ke cemtu, takut you jatuhkan dia nye prestigiousness as an ACCA Premier Plus tuition provider kalo you fail in the real exam.

Other good colleges in KL are FTMS, Mc Orange, KLC and Kasturi. But then again, depends jugak you nak amik paper ape. Sometimes my friends mix kan colleges tu. Misalnya paper 3.6 kat Mc Orange, and 3.7 kat FTMS. You go by choosing the lecturers. You tell me which papers you're going to sit for in December, I try ask around from my friends.

I am enrolling at Mc Orange kut for my 3.6. Hueh sediy nye nak kena pi kelas lagi nih. I'm not going back to London cuz I am in Msia for good

agreed with u.. they may want to maintain the prestige associated with ACCA.. i think candidates must show certain degree of maturity while answering the questions. but at leaast acca is more transparent compared to micpa.. thats what i heard.:kant:
