Inter Milan players turn on Marco Materazzi

Inter Milan's players turned on each other following their 2-0 defeat at Liverpool, it emerged yesterday. Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Inter's top striker, told reporters after the game that they should "ask Marco Materazzi why we lost".

Materazzi had been sent off following two bookings early in the Champions' League encounter and left the runaway Serie A leaders, who had not lost game for five months, to play for over an hour with 10 men.

Other players, including Julio Cesar and Ivan Cordoba, also blamed Materazzi's dismissal for their defeat. But Cesar added: "To be fair, Liverpool did not create much. We played an almost perfect game, so I'm very upset that we lost. I'm particularly pained by the first goal, which was a deflection."

Inter coach Roberto Mancini, however, was in defiant mood, calling on his side to reproduce the club's 1965 European Cup semi-final performance against Liverpool, when the Italian team won 3-0 at home to go through.

"Sometimes history repeats itself. We can come back from this, just like in 1965," he said. "The battle will finish after the final whistle in Milan. Many teams come back. We will have to play a great game, but we have a chance.

"For the umpteenth time we ended up playing as 10 men in a game like this. That's the first thing that did not go right on the pitch. Liverpool started well and being reduced to 10 made everything much more difficult." Mancini added that he had not been "surprised" by Liverpool's performance despite their FA Cup defeat by Barnsley only three days earlier. "We knew they would play well, given that they now have to gamble everything on the Champions League."

There was more bad feeling, though, on the flight back to Milan, after several groups of fans shouted at the players, telling them to "work harder". Mancini shouted back that they should "learn how to be fans".

Italian media commentators suggested that, although Inter played doggedly with 10 men, they lacked the European pedigree of rivals AC Milan. "Materazzi's expulsion was the determining factor, but even before then Inter had disappointed," concluded Gazzetta dello Sport.

Mancini Attacked By Inter Fans Again

The fall-out from Inter抯 2-0 defeat at Liverpool continues as Coach Roberto Mancini was verbally insulted by up to two thousand club fans, reports the Corriere dello Sport.
The Nerazzurri suffered their first defeat in five months on Tuesday night, and they now face an uphill task to qualify for the quarter-finals of the Champions League.   

The Inter supporters have been hugely critical of Mancini for his tactics during the game, and it has already been reported that he was almost involved in a physical confrontation with a group who verbally attacked him at Liverpool Airport.   

The Corriere has now revealed that upon arriving in Milan, two thousand Inter fans were waiting for the squad and there was real tension and anger. Suddenly the crowd erupted into a chorus of 揋o to work.

aku rase 2 kad kuning tu tak patut arr.yg second tu pun,alahai aku rase matrix tu tertampar kutu je.pun kene kad ke.bengong punye ref(da la player inter kene hand pon buat tak tau je)..ibra pon seko lagi.yg mancini nih pon kalo dah tau sampai minit ke 70 ibra langsung tak perform,bawak la masuk suazo ke.yg bleh lari sket.ni gi masukkan burdisso.

lepas burdisso masuk,aku dah rase dah memang tak pandai punye keputusan tu.last2 btol gak tekaan aku bhw masuknya burdisso akan membawa masalah(serius lepas die masuk tu yang bocor sampai 2 tu kan)
