On his Serie A debut, 18 seconds after coming on Alberto Paloschi decided the match against Siena with an extraordinary goal. For the 18-year-old it was the third goal in three official games with the Milan shirt.

Kalac - 6: Made a brilliant save from Frick and was always comfortable.

Cafu - 6.5: Always offered support down the wing and his running was endless.

Nesta - 7: Another solid performance at the back, always snuffed out the danger but came off at half time with a knock.

Maldini - 7.5: When he gets it right, he can still be the best in his position at 39. Played like he did in his prime.

Jankulovski - 6: Some careless passing at times but made up for it with some good defending.

Brocchi - 6.5: Played in Gattuso’s role and was impressive by and large, despite a few minor lapses in concentration.

Ambrosini - 6.5: Good positional sense and created some good link up play.


Pirlo - 7.5: Sublime passing and he was the key to Milan’s attacks.


Serginho - 5.5: Made some good runs down the left but his delivery was poor.

Ronaldo - 5.5: Drifted in and out of the game and struggled to impose himself.

Inzaghi - 5.5: Always caught offside and when he was on he fluffed some excellent chances.

Subs: Paloschi 7, Bonera 6, Seedorf 6.5.


SIENA


Manninger - 6: Was not really tested by Milan and he was always ready to deal with any threat.

Rossettini - 6.5: A fine display and made some good tackles.

Portanova - 5.5: Fell asleep when Milan scored, however had a good game overall.

Loria - 6: Dealt with Milan’s attacking prowess but conceded some needless free kicks.

De Ceglie - 6.5: Had the task of marking Ronaldo and did well overall.

Jarolim - 5: struggled to impose himself on the game.

Codrea - 7.5: Enjoyed an excellent game and his passing was always accurate.

Vergassola -6: Had a few shots on goal but they were not good enough to beat Kalac.

Locatelli -7.5: Was one of the best players on the pitch, had a goal disallowed for a dubious offside call.

Maccarone - 6: Hit the post and had plenty of chances, should have scored.

Frick - 6: Had a few shots on goal but he did not make an impact on the game.
