*NSYNC reunion at MTV VMAs is happening, Joey Fatone's father confirms The musician's father said the group will not only reunite, but they'll also perform at Sunday's award show. Joey Fatone's father confirmed that his son will reuite with the rest of the members of NYSYNC at the VMAs on Sunday.
Don't kiss the *NSYNC reunion bye, bye, bye just yet. Though Lance Bass refused to confirm whether the beloved boy band would get back together at the MTV Video Music Awards Sunday night, another former *NSYNC-er's father spilled the beans on the reunion.
Joseph Fatone Sr., the father of Joey Fatone, told Radar Online that the group is indeed reuniting. And that's not all. "They're doing a performance," he said. "I think it's exciting," Fatone Sr. added. "I couldn't even say why he's doing it through. Why, at this point in his life. Now he's his own man." Perhaps it's something to do with ex-bandmate Justin Timberlake, who will be receiving the Video Vanguard Award at the star-studded event. "It's more to the face that MTV has made then all somewhat of stars, and also made Justin a star," said Fatone Sr., adding that he didn't know any more details about the performance. "They will reenact some of their greatest videos in a medley," a source told Us Weekly, noting that the group's hit "Bye Bye Bye" will be included. "Then Justin will sing his new song 'Take Back the Night.'" And fans will be waiting. "It's amazing to see the reaction out there on Twitter and social media ... [and] how many people are supporting *NSYNC," Bass said Tuesday night on his SiriusXM radio show. "It's so cute to see how many people are supporting [us] |

Doesn’t ‘NSYNC know that all it takes is one tweet to ignite a social media maelstrom?
The boy band took to Twitter from a newly minted, verified account just one day before the MTV Video Music Awards, sending a message to fans who are hoping Sunday night means the five men will reunite onstage in Brooklyn, N.Y., to make sweet, sweet music more than 10 years after they released their last album together.
“Mic check, mic check one.. two … is this thing on?!” the band tweeted, which has since been retweeted more than 14,000 times.
The Twitter account also boasts a link to the band’s modest website, which shows pictures of the five guys all grown up, as well as links to their personal Twitter handles and official websites.
While the rest of the band presumably tried to play it cool, Lance Bass had this to say about the cryptic tweet.
“Yes, @NSYNC is the official twitter. Happy weekend everyone!” he wrote.
Does this mean the reunion rumors are true? Guess we’ll have to tune in and see.
