CARI hari ini berkesempatan menonton tayangan filem SE7ENTH yang ditayangkan di GSC, Pavilion. Terima kasih kepada SKT Media & Entertainment Group kerana memberi tiket percuma untuk tayangan perdana filem ini. Pada pandangan CARI, filem arahan Ryon Lee ini adalah sebuah filem seram dan terdapat juga adegan-adegan lawak yang mengeletek hati. Filem ini mengisahkan tentang pasangan yang selalu bergaduh, Cannon dan Mimi telah menyertai satu pertandingan fotografi bertemakan "Supernatural". Oleh kerana bertemakan "Supernatural" maka bermulalah pengembaraan mereka berdua ke sebuah kampung terpencil untuk mengunjungi sebuah "rumah berhantu" yang sangat terkenal dikampung itu... Selanjutnya kena tengok sendiri.... hehe
SE7ENTH membariskan pelakon utama seperti Gino (Taiwan), Mindee Ong (Singapore), Teddy Chin (Malaysia), Kim Thian (Malaysia) serta ramai lagi. Kepada yang ingin menonton filem seram ini bolehlah mengunjungi panggung wayang terdekat ditempat anda pada 16 Oktober 2014. Filem ini turut ditayangkan di Taiwan pada 17 Oktober dan di Singapore pada 6 November 2014.

About
“Vigil”, also known as “wake”. A form of Chinese folk customs, refers to a period of purposeful sleeplessness. An occasion for devotional watching, or an observance by the side of the coffin, or altars. The ancient belief that souls will return for a visit after death. Hence, heirs are to observe the designated space, expecting the return of souls. Close family members and acquaintances will stay on to keep company, to the day of the actual funeral. To modern days, it became a time of uniting the loved ones for moments of mourning and remembering the dead.
Synopsis
The story revolves around the participation of a pair of quarrelsome couple, namely Cannon and Mimi, in an online photography competition. The theme of this competition is none other than “Supernatural” photography. Following the theme, this couple went after a well-known haunted mansion in a remote village. Upon their unfortunate arrival, the housekeeper – Mr. Huang died of sickness, his funeral was conducted in the mansion. Meanwhile, the grandson of the housekeeper – Yi also made appearance in the funeral, hoping to redeem the inheritance of his late grandfather. Having to stay under the same roof for 7 days, these 3 followed through conflicts, at the same time meeting a mysterious woman, who evoked unbearable childhood memories Yi once encountered. To top it up, the trio unintentionally broke into a supernatural space. From there, they discover the mysteries of the haunted mansion…

Ryon Lee- The legendary script writer in Malaysia. He is the most successful script writer of all time in terms of domestic box office. Ryon has written some of the most successful and well know local films ,including, “Woohoo Big Day”, “Great Day”, “Nasi Lemak 2.0 , and also one of the best local film “ The Journey “which create the highest box-office record in Malaysian Films. And also, he won “Best Script” in 2013 Malaysia Golden Wau Awards with “Nasi Lemak 2.0”.
Besides in filming industry, Ryon also active in theatre for the past decades, he won the Outstanding Youth Award in the Global Chinese Culture & Arts Awards in 2005 and also the Best Original Screenwriter for 5 consecutive years.
Producer: Aron Koh 许康文
As a young upcoming film-maker in film and animation industry, Aron Koh is a producer cum director in various production projects. In 2005, Aron made his renowned directorial debut “Seed of darkness”, Malaysia’s first full-length Chinese horror movie that was shot entirely in HD (High Definition) of which distribution was engaged by International Distributor Columbia Pictures. Aron Koh kick started 2008 with his first ever Malay movie “KURUS”. “KURUS” created a stir in the international film festivals arena. Aron Koh also received the honorary Special Jury Prize for the movie at the Bangkok International Film Festival.
In 2012, Aron produced 3 local Chinese films: “Pasar Malam”, “The Transcend” and “The Beggar Hero” and released in 2014. With SKT Studios under his leadership, he has produced horror genre “Seventh” in 2013. Furthermore, “The Dream Boyz”, and CNY movie "My Papa Rich" were produced in 2014. In addition, an art-house piece <Second life of thieves> was selected to screen at the Busan International Film Festival 2014.Recently, Aron Koh has been elected as vice-president of Chinese Film Association of Malaysia (CFAM).

Mindee Ong 王欣
Singaporean actress Mindee Ong broke into the showbiz following her participating in a singing competition, and has since appeared in numerous movies, TV shows and theater productions. Mindee reached a new height in her career with her starring role in the 2007 production “881” and her outstanding portrayal of Little Papaya racing against cancer to fulfill her singing dreams touched the hearts of audience. Her portrayal of Little Papaya has been regarded as her most representative movie roles yet which prompted the movie’s producer Eric Khoo to remark that Mindee’s talent will pave the way for a long and illustrious movie career. Mindee’s Little Papaya even touched the heart of former Singapore Prime Minister Goh Chok Tong, who commended Mindee for fully expressing the pains and struggles of a cancer patient.
In the same year, Mindee’s positive image won her the appointment as the spokesperson for Singapore’s Lianhe Wanbao, making Mindee the first celebrity spokesperson following the newspaper’s revamp, a clear testimony of Mindee’s influence in Singapore.
In 2008, Mindee appeared alongside William So in musical drama Shanghai Blues as the leading cast, and the production went on to become one of the highest grossing musical in Singapore for the year.
A highly versatile performer, Mindee has been able to tackle different roles with ease. In 2011, she starred in light-hearted romantic comedy “Perfect Rivals” as the cross-dressing Yuan Yuan, a role that won her wide acclaim for her performance.
Mindee’s outstanding performance in 2012’s The Transcend and the following year’s Seventh cemented her reputation as the queen of the horror genre and she is heralded as the next Angelica Lee.
Starring as Ying (First Lead Actress)
Ying lost her life due to complications during childbirth, but even as a ghost, Ying has maintained her kind and positive outlook, believing that the world is a much more beautiful place. However, beneath the veneer of positivity hides the shadows of a sexual assault which eventually caused her to break down when forced to confront the deepest truth in her heart.
Gino
Gino is a Taiwanese born singer, actor, host, and was once part of the famous Taiwan dance group K ONE. As an accomplished dancer, Gino won the national dance competition twice and was twice invited to Japan to perform. Since his debut in 2003, Gino has starred in numerous Taiwanese dramas and is the current host of FTV’s Just Dance.
Starring as Yi (First Lead Actor) Yi appears to be stubborn, egoistic and arrogant, but the outward aggression and angst are a false front for his deepest inferiority complex that he tries to mask . Despite being a ruffian, Yi is surprisingly chivalrous when it comes to the ladies, and his desire to protect women might stem from his poor impression of his patriarchal grandfather and well as his grandmother’s decision to stay by her husband’s side despite an unhappy marriage. The incidents of his youth left Yi with a lifetime of conflicted emotions.
