Paul Walker Dead at 40

Paul Walker has died at the age of 40 after he was involved in a single-car accident and explosion on Saturday (November 30) in Southern California, according to TMZ.

The Fast and the Furious actor was in a Porsche when the driver lost control and slammed into a post or tree in Santa Clarita. The car then burst into flames. Paul and another person who was in the car were both killed.

It is not clear right now what caused the accident or who was behind the wheel.

Paul was in town to attend a car show to support the Philippines typhoon relief effort and he was taking friends out for drives in his new Porsche GT car. The crash happened during one of the test drives that afternoon.

UPDATE

The alleged driver of the car that was involved in a crash that killed Paul Walker has been identified as former race car driver Roger Rodas, according to a Santa Clarita radio station with sources close to the situation.

Roger was the CEO of the company Always Evolving, a car customization shop. The charity event for Reach Out Worldwide was being held at the company’s headquarters in Santa Clarita that afternoon when he went for a drive with Paul in a Porsche Carrera GT, which happens to be one of Roger‘s favorite cars. Both of them died in the crash after the car exploded into flames.

The friends had met when they raced cars together at the Pirelli World Challenge series years ago.

Paul Walker‘s rep has confirmed that the Fast & Furious actor has died in a car crash on Saturday (November 30).

New Regency, the studio that is behind the popular film franchise also confirmed the news, tweeting out “It is with great sadness to report that @RealPaulWalker has passed away. We will miss you. #RIP”

Paul passed away in a single-car accident in Santa Clarita, California after his Porsche GT car crashed into either a pole or tree and then exploded. It is not known right now who was behind the wheel of the car or why they crashed. [JustJared]

It’s been reported by TMZ and substantiated by other reputable news sources that this afternoon, November 30th, 2013, Paul Walker died in a car crash at the age of 40.

The accident occurred in Santa Clarita, a city North of Los Angeles in California when Walker’s Porsche lost control it’s reported and crashed into a tree. The car burst into flames and then exploded taking the life of the famed actor. At the time Paul was driving a passenger who also died as a result of the accident. It’s been said that no other cars or people were involved. The investigation is still ongoing to understand who was driving and what caused the accident itself. Sources close to Paul explain that he was often taking friends out for rides in his new Porsche GT and that he was in Santa Clarita as a part of a car show that was looking to donate to the victims of the typhoon incident in the Philippines.

Paul was very famously known for his roles in the extensive Fast and the Furious series and was a frequent item on our site as we loved his impossibly perfect smile and incredibly handsome everything else. He was often referred to for the Fast and Furious but my personal favourite of his movies was Running Scared where he really got to show his dramatic abilities. Rarely in the tabloids, this sweet man will absolutely be missed the world over as we remember him for his fast-paced action flicks and his numerous humanitarian efforts as he was often seen supporting victims of disasters the world around. Paul is survived by his 15-year old daughter Meadow.
