AGUILERA'S BALD PATCHES

Pop star CHRISTINA AGUILERA has raised fears for her much-dyed hair, after bald patches were spotted through her jet black tresses.

The FIGHTER singer - who is noted for her dramatically coloured, wacky hair-styles - was photographed emerging from Los Angeles restaurant THE IVY this month (OCT03) with the right hand side of her scalp betraying a series of bald patches.

And at Britain's Q AWARDS earlier this month (OCT03) the diminutive 22-year-old was seen desperately trying to cover up her missing strands.

A fellow guest tells British newspaper THE DAILY MAIL, "I was sitting behind Christina and she wouldn't leave her hair alone. On the front, right-hand side of her head there was a patch of scalp visible."

Leading trichologist PHILIP KINGSLEY believes Aguilera's love of artificial hair extensions are the most likely explanation for her problems.

He says, "Extensions often cause bald patches where they have gripped the scalp. It doesn't matter how they are applied, when the extensions are removed they can pull out a lot of hair.

"Having tight plaits - or dreadlocks - also causes problems, often leading to bald patches called traction alopecia.

"This means the hair has been pulled so hard to form the plaits that it falls out when they are taken out - although it does grow back."

In her pursuit of pop superstardom, she has experimented with a vast array of hair colours and styles.

There have been jet-black or blonde curly locks, dreadlocks, extensions and a mixture of all four.

But it appears that this addiction to hairdressing has taken its toll on Christina Aguilera's crowning glory - she seems to have developed bald patches.
The first sign that Miss Aguilera, 22, was losing her hair came last month.

While dining with friends at The Ivy in Los Angeles, her messy, jet-black hairstyle failed to cover a patch of scalp on the right side of her head.

At the Q Awards earlier this month, she was seen fiddling with her hair in a vain attempt to distribute it more evenly about her head.

A guest at the ceremony in Park Lane Hotel said: 'I was sitting behind Christina and she wouldn't leave her hair alone. On the front, righthand side of her head there was a patch of scalp visible.'

Trichologist Philip Kingsley, author of The Hair Bible, said: 'Hair extensions often cause bald patches where they have gripped the scalp. It doesn't matter how they are applied, when the extensions are removed they can pull out a lot of hair.

aku minat tgk rambut dia masa vc dgn ricky martin tu... lebat.. rambut hitam dia pun lawa jugak... so bahaya la kepada yg suka buat hair extension ek...

hair extension nie mmg merbahaya pun, sbb bila kita tempek extra rambut, kengkadang tue scalp tue menanggung overstress, jadi rambut mudah gugur. tapi paling hebat lagi kalau time kita nak buang extension tue, byk rambut tepaksa tercabut.

lagi satu masalah aku tengok, diorang nie sekejap luruskan rambut, sekejap kerinting.. karang pulak sekejap blonde, sekejap hitam-putih.. bagi aku, jgn lar ditukar2 sangat warna rambut tue. once a month tu ok lar. nie tak, kengkadang event tue gap berapa hari jer, warna dah tukar lain.

well, in response to her baldness, aku rasa dia kena buat sesuatu, maybe dia kena pendekkan rambut macam zaman "Reflection" dulu, pastu buat tanam rambut.

nak mewarnakan rambut, takpun meluruskan r kerintingkan rambut .. paling sesuai 6 bulan sekali ...
kalau kerap sgt .. jd cam si Christina ler ..
potong rambut bg pendek pastu use herbal treatment utk melebatkan rambut tp tanam rambut tu .. utk yg dah kronik cam Elton John ..
