Similar incidents take place in Petaling Jaya
FOUR men in their mid-20s, riding two motorcycles have been going around Section 5, 9 and Jalan Gasing in Petaling Jaya, throwing stones at moving cars with the aim of robbing the passengers.
Recently, three such cases occurred and all the drivers rightly chose to speed off to the nearest petrol kiosk for help.
According to a woman in her 50s who wanted to be known as Tham, while she was driving along Jalan Chantek, four men on two motorcycles were flanked her car just before her vehicle was hit with a stone.
“I knew something was not right when I saw the men without their helmets.
“I noticed one motorbike had moved further up the road while the other duo threw the stone.
“Despite being shaken, I kept a cool head and drove on until Jalan Changai and entered a petrol kiosk. All four pursued me but gave up as soon as I got into the petrol station,” she said.
She added, “If I had gotten out of the car, the men would have robbed me.”
A primary school teacher said a similar incident had happened to her this week, leaving her traumatised.
“I just cannot get over the incident. I am now afraid to drive into Section 9 which used to be a shortcut to PJ New Town. I hope the Petaling Jaya police will nab these hooligans who are targetting road users,” she said.
A similar incident has also left an administrative officer shocked; her car was pelted with stones that shattered her window.
The men had chased her for about one kilometre before giving up when she drove into a petrol kiosk along Jalan Gasing.
PJ OCPD Asst Comm Arjunaidi Mohamed said police were aware of such thieves who pelted cars with stones or grazed the cars or hit them from behind to prompt the driver to get out of the car.
“We are aware of such tactics. In our dialogue sessions with the people, we inform drivers not to get down but drive to the nearest police station instead and report the incident,” he said.
He added that such cases were rampant in Section 16 and 17 a few months ago but the police had organised a special task force and had made a few arrests.
“We could do it, based on police reports lodged, where our men plotted the areas and time.
“We are in the midst of another crack-down based on new reports.
“We urge all drivers to be extra careful and alert at all times,” he said.

saya pernah kena mcmni di highway pantai timur....budak2 motor tepi jalan dia tgk dulu keta tu lelaki ke pompuan yg drive...saya mmg sempat terpandang budak2 tu and lepas tu terdengar sesuatu kena pintu sebelah kiri....saya teruskan drive and benti kat R & R pastu, panik spai terlupa kat tiket tol ada number peronda lebuhraya...masa byr tol saya tanya and citer kat budak tol, budak tol kasi nomot peronda lebuhraya spai umah saya call and report...mmg menakutkan....huhuhu.... |

Kat Jalan ampang depan sikit wisma perkeso hari tu pun mcm tu.....
diorang baling batu kat satu keta minah saleh bawak....minah salleh tu berhenti le pulak kat situ....tak tau lah apa jadi sbb masa ai tengok tu, polis dah ada..... |

Kpd kawan2 smua, x kira laki ke terutamanya perempuan, jgn la berenti kete kalau ada sape2 yg suruh berenti masa drive...x kira la apa bangsa pon, jgn berenti... nk berenti jugak, cari lah tempat org ramai... skrg ni mcm2 cara org nk kenakan kita. rompak ke ape ke mcm2 lagi lah.. saya td masa drive kt jalan mahameru, ada sorg mamat india dgn motor duk honk2 sambil tunjukkan tayar depan sebelah penumpang. sambil drive saya buka la tingkap skit...tny dia..apahal bro? dia ckp tayar berasap.. saya dh pelik, tgk dari dalam, xde pon asap naik...saya pon slow la sikit kete... mamat tu terus ke depan dan berenti kat kaki lima jalan.. saya pon rasa lain macam... teruskan je drive sambil mata tgk mirror blakang, mamat tu follow jap pastu hilang... sampai kat tempat yg saya rasa selamat, turun kete tgk...xde apa pon kat tayar depan tu... semua okay.. Nampak???? itu lah antara cara-cara org nk cari 'makan' zaman skrg ni di bandar... Syukur alhamdulillah...masih di jaga oleh Allah.... jadi...pakat2 lah kita pesan kt member2 kita...hati2 di jalan raya... |

Yups, 2 org my fren pun kena mcm nih.. MO sebijik..
seorang tak layan.. so selamat.. bawa g bengkel.. bengkel cakap xda apa pun ..
n seorang tu sbb takut.. dia pun layan gak.. ntah apa yg dia kata rosak.. dia caj RM800!!
giler!! g bengkel pon xder mahai tok ayah mcm tuh.. ini repair menipu tepi jalan dia caj 800..
my fren ni lelaki.. dah berumor pun..
tp sbb takut dia mintak kurang sket, n dia bayar jugak..
tp dia ni mmg penakut.. kalau keje malam, sokmo toksey.. kita yg pompuan ni plop dok kena kijer 12 tengah maley, 3 pagi ..
alasan dia- jalan tu sunyi.. dia takut (padahai, jalan dia nk datang opis n aku nk datang.. sama jaa) .
Agaknya sbb tu terkena kot... terlampau takut!
