Semua penduduk berusia lebih 60 tahun serta penerima Sinovac berusia 18 tahun ke atas perlu mendapatkan dos penggalak sebelum Februari 2022 untuk mengekalkan status vaksinasi lengkap.

“Jika kami tidak buat demikian, status kami akan ditukarkan kepada putih, kamu tidak dikira (berstatus) dos lengkap dalam MySejahtera,” kata Menteri Kesihatan Khairy Jamaluddin.

Khairy mengumumkan perkara itu bersama beberapa langkah tambahan bagi mengekang penularan COvid-19 selepas kemasukan kes kedua varian Omicron yang diumumkan hari ini.

Kes kedua Omicron yang diumumkan hari ini melibatkan kanak-kanak lapan tahun yang pulang daripada Nigera.

Sebanyak 18 lagi kes mungkin melibatkan varian sama tetapi belum dapat disahkan sementara menunggu keputusan ujian penjujukan genom.

PUTRAJAYA – Status vaksinasi individu yang sebelum ini telah menerima dos lengkap vaksin Sinovac serta mereka yang berusia 60 tahun ke atas akan ditukarkan menjadi tidak lengkap sekiranya tidak mendapakan suntikan dos penggalak selepas Februari tahun depan.

Menteri Kesihatan, Khairy Jamaluddin Abu Bakar berkata, selepas status tersebut ditukar menjadi tidak lengkap, individu berkenaan adalah tidak layak untuk menerima kemudahan-kemudahan yang diberikan kepada penerima dos lengkap vaksin Covid-19.

“Sehingga hari ini, Pihak Berkuasa Kawalan Dadah (PBKD) telah meluluskan vaksin Comirnaty keluaran Pfizer-BioNTech, vaksin CoronaVac keluaran Sinovac dan vaksin AstraZeneca untuk digunakan sebagai dos penggalak.

“Lanjutan daripada itu, pihak Jawatankuasa Kerja Teknikal (TWG) telah mengesyorkan dos penggalak diberikan kepada semua penduduk berusia 18 tahun dan ke atas,” katanya menerusi satu kenyataan hari ini.

Jelas beliau, Pertubuhan Kesihatan Sedunia (WHO) melalui Strategic Advisory Group of Experts on Immunisation (SAGE) telah mencadangkan agar semua penerima dos lengkap vaksin Sinovac atau individu berusia 60 tahun ke atas tanpa mengira jenis vaksin siri primer perlu mengambil dos penggalak.

“Keperluan itu adalah bagi mengekalkan status vaksinasi lengkap dan cadangan ini telah disahkan oleh Mesyuarat Jawatankuasa Petugas Khas Imunisasi Covid-19-Booster (CITF-B) pada 8 Disember lalu.

“Sehubungan itu, individu dalam kumpulan yang dinyatakan di atas iaitu semua penerima dos lengkap vaksin Sinovac dan individu berusia 60 tahun ke atas perlu mendapatkan suntikan dos penggalak selewat-lewatnya pada Februari 2022,” tegas beliau. – K! ONLINE
