what if I put the 1 mill in FD or bond and reap the fruit later?

Interests earn from FD can't cover inflation. The value of 1mil now will be lesser than 1mil in next 10 years.
I dunno anything about bond.

in Terengganu.. once a chinese used to be a civil engineer... his dad is feng shui practitioner but he do not want to continue his dad business....

when 1997, the economy breakdown and he lost his job.... lot of people lost job as well, and out of desperation, people start to believe in feng shui. so he learn from his dad.... after one or two years, he was back in civil business.....

but with feng shui approach.....

now his business a boom... so, is he still the same as he was?

Yes, location of properties is important in property investment.

If you are a businessman, you have to learn how to maximize the profits.

With 1 mil I become a bonded slave.
What the heck!
I just want enough to go through life and do whatever I wish.
I rather treasure my freedom.
Owning big house is a trapping.
End of the day when 2 of u left and the children gone u want to live in an apartment...sigh

why would you be a slave?

You could just retire. Buy a few house and live from the rent.

You don't have to be a slave anymore. You don't have to be a slave to money anymore.

That's exactly what I am saying. Few houses and collect rent make u worst then a slave. Kalau dah tua, with little time u have, why have sleepless night worrying about rent collections and all the damages the tenants inflicted to your  properties.

Go in peace and return in peace!

nah...

Why would you worry? You're worrying about things that may come true or may not. These are all at best speculation. It's just speculation. That's all.

There are crappy tenant. There are good tenant. The thing is, you don't start it in your golden years. Heaven forbid. At this time, considering that you live the way you should, it will probably just second nature to you. Balancing mental, spiritual, physical, emotional and material planes at the same time. Experience is golden.

You'll be more worried if you don't have the time, resource and money to make ends meet in your golden year.

How many people are homeless, live in wretchedness, being forsaken, begging or having to work for crazy minimum wages by unscrupulous employer. Is that peace?

All this can be avoided.

The only way to avoid all worldly worries is to die.

If I have a million bucks it must be liquid, secured and safe. Preferably in Singapore HSBC bank  I will spent it prudently not buying fixed assets ( I have enough of it) or fancy car ( I rather use a safe car). Pick a cheap and cheerful travels and short holiday. A week in sunny Santa Cruz California , freezing Munich and gloomy London really bore me to death. I love my birthplace better. Best retirement is to sit in your library by yourself and nourish your brain. No need to climb staircase to 3rd Floor slave-driving your underlings for your direct selling. That is my plane dear! Simple and secured.

Find something, safe, secure, yield fixed return thatl can support you till you die. Something protected by the Malaysian govt.

Then just live from that. It's safe, boring yet safe.

Absolutely not!
Its considered a self-inflicted injury like herpes simplex, gonorrhoea or syphillis

Did you know that Bank Negara guarantees max RM60K should the bank you have deposited your money into goes bust? Meaning if you have RM1mil in ABC Bank, and ABC bank goes bankrupt, you will get back RM60K.
