Unique combination of contemporary and traditional theatre training

Inspired by the artistic vision and multicultural practice of the late dramatist Kuo Pao Kun, Theatre Training & Research Programme (TTRP) is a 3-year full time programme run in Singapore that trains actors through immersions in Traditional theatre forms, juxtaposed with contemporary acting techniques. Traditional theatre forms include Beijing Opera (China), Wayang Wong or Balinese dance (Indonesia), Noh Theatre (Japan) and Kutiyattam (India).

The entire process is framed by the pursuit of original theatre-making. Theatre-making projects are the spine of the work, and students learn the skills for germinating and nurturing original work in the broad theatrical palette of the TTRP抯 environment.

Enrolment is now open for July 2007 intake.

Full details of TTRP can be found at website: http://www.ttrp.edu.sg

For more information, please email the Enrolment Coordinator at [email protected] or call (65) 6338-5133.

Enrolment deadlines:
01 Mar 2007 (Singapore citizens & PR) /
29 Jan 2007 (Other countries except PR China)

TTRP is a division of Practice, a charity registered in Singapore.
TTRP is a programme of Practice Performing Arts School, which is registered with Singapore抯 Ministry of Education (MOE) and a CaseTrust accredited institution.
