kalau nak masuk corporate line, ambik mba, kalau nak jadi lecturer or anything in education line, ambik ll.m

Awak practising ke? Kalau masih practise,  why not ambik DSLP (dip in syariah law & prac) dulu. At least boleh jugak tambah pendapatan. I did that b4 my LLM. Now tgh pening Phd thesis sangkut. Life is too short, just go all the way.....

but the things is..if u take master in law..ur law knowledge is narrow down and down..and what more if u take phd. but if mba..u open and terus open ur spectrum or whatever the word we may call for 'luas dan tidak sempit'.

but i do not oppose for llm or phd law..just a matter of wind of change. good starting..keep on posting guys..

dont treat it as menjadi sempit.. but treat is as specialisation... :cak:  

anyway.. if u want a marketable n adaptable LLM.. buat la LLM yg specialisation dia berkaitan dgn commercial or corporate.

So far, hanya beberapa negeri je nak kan DSLP kalu nak practise syariah lawyer. Tapi nak apply buat DSLP, tak de requirement, as long u have LLB. Buat la kat uia, ukm, (itu je yg i tau offer course dslp)

sapa tenaga pengajar for PHD kat law fac?  may i know pengkhususan dia mcmana n wat are the pre-requisites...?

i plan to take LLM nanti kat uitm.. but takder masa la.. i balik keje mlm2.. i saw the timatable.. kelas starts at 6...  kalau full time susah plak la kan...  apa LLM mode yg paling ok kat uitm?

i personally think it's a matter of preferences whether LLM @ MBA. Just that, i dont see why orang nak buat course business studies, management, MBA etc  coz to me Boon Siew tak belajar business studies pun jadi billonaire! U cannot acquire the skills to be a good business man/strategist, but unless you're born with it.  Jgn marah ye, that's my opinion.

Hmm... i tak te info pasal LLM prog in Uitm coz i did my LLM kat UKM. If i'm not mistaken, LLM di Uitm ada 2 types: coursework & research. kalau you tak de masa, opt for research so tak yah pi class! Tapi, for PHD u have to attend 2 semesters: 1st sem is for research methodology, 2nd sem  for thesis writing & data analysis. Then, u'll be on your own dgn supervisor je lah.

anyway i dah tgk time table for June-November 06. so these are the  LLM by coursework options yg ada:

1. LLM  (Intellectual Property)
2. LLM (Corporate Law)
3. LLM (Marine Affairs)
4. LLM  (Public Interest Law)
5. LLM  (Commercial Law) - minat tp ada lecturer garang la plak!
6. LLM  - yg ni  without specialisation
7. LLM (by research)

I would prefer either IP, or Corporate or Commercial.. bcz they are relevant to my career path.

btw i tak minat LLM by research coz i dun like buat research nor thesis ...   kalau medium dissertation tu takper lagi.  100% coursework only (without dissertation) would be most preferred in my case. n i have a feeling that the paper marking would be as strict as masa degree dulu coz the lecturers are more or less the same bunch of ppl (i miss them!!).

duration of course:
full time: 1 year (2 sems)
part time: 2 years (4 sems)

hmmmm come to think of it kalau i malas nak keje.. bole gak amik cuti setahun.. concentrate on LLM.. :hmm:  tp tak masuk la duit dlm poket..

u dulu buat law (llb hons) kat uitm ke? Anywaz, whatever u do pleaseeeeeeeeeee do not take up IP as ur supervisor will be Dr L (i tension gile kat mamat ni!!! Dia asyik cari salah i je masa defence proposal. Ikut hati nak je blasah)

thanks for the reminder.. i pun takmo nyusahkan kepala plak bila amik LLM ni (nyusahkan kepala with rasa tak puas hati, i mean.. kalau susah kepala sebab banyak fikir tu takper).  bcz kita pun ada problem lain lagi kat ofis, kat dunia luar..

i grad dah lama jugak.. roughly about 4+ years ago i think.  otak i maybe dah a bit karat nak study tp i berminat ler.
