bukan ke myvi based on new version of sirion which is boon/passo?:hmm:

Sirion tu is the sama car dengan Boon and Passo..cuma kat Europe dia dikenali sebagai Sirion ( kata Daihatsu , nama nie based upon satu river dalam citer Lord of the Rings)...kat Jepun dan negara2 lain aje dikenali sebagai Daihatsu Boon ot Toyota Paso..

alahai dik...ko silap konsep ni..bukan nye perodua design pun keta ni...ambik model daihatsu/toyota je...pegi lah tanya jepun tu apasal tak letak kunci boot utk kau

sebenarnya, nak buka bonet belakang myvi tak perlu tarik tali di tempat duduk driver. konsep buka pintu dia macam kenari jugak. cuma myvi tempat buka dia terselindung sikit, tak silap di atas number plate.

so tak perlu lah risau putus tali, coz memang tak guna tali dari driver's seat.

For all you people who are planning to buy the Perodua Myvi, there’s a TRD bodykit out there for the Toyota equivalent which is the Toyota Passo. Can’t wait to see Myvis on the road with this kit slapped on. Looks darn good.

review yang bagus dari another forum on myvi:

Well.. eventually have chances to test drive MYVI both 1000cc and 1300cc.

Here is some of my findings.

(1) Exterior and Interior
I dont think I should waste time here as most of us had seen MYVI. However, I dont think many of us seen Sirion. In terms of exterior, I can said both MYVi and Sirion have their attractive points and diff ppl may have diff perception over the car. However, for me, I will opt for MYVI as Sirion seems a bit square when we look from the front but MYVI is aero shape. In terms of paint finishing, both are the same but Sirion have more choices of color. In Hong Kong there are 10 colour available for Sirion include white and my favorite color Sky Blue.
Well, in terms of interior finishing, definitely Sirion is better as the dashboard of sirion will me more solid feel. However, dont forget MYVI is chepaer than Sirion. Well, in terms of HU and meterboard, I prefer Sirion. I think most of us will find that MYVI HU is not so attractive to some ppl. I think P2 need to reselect the interior color as the seat, dashboard the trim color is not consistent and not match. Sirion give me more comfortable impression. In terms of seat chusion, Sirion use better quality fabric and match the interior color.

(2) Handling
Both handling for 1000cc, 1300cc Auto and Sirion 1300cc auto is same, at least for me. Being a small compact car, even when I drive the 1000cc alone with the Salesman and press upto 100km/h, we will not feel the car shaking. BUt it is a bit under power from my point of view when we try to drive uphill. The engine is a bit noise when you press harder when drive uphill.

As for 1300cc Auto, with 6 of us (4 guys, 1 girl and 1 baby), we try to climb uphill, MYVI can easilly achive without fail and it tooks only few second to reach 90km/h. And yet we did not feel the car is under power. The engine quiet compare to my previous Hyundai Getz. If compare to Honda Jazz, Jazz wil need to press more fuel.

Cornering can easy be done even in the steep road and we still feel is quite comfortable. This is same like Sirion when I test drove in SG.

I can said ride with MYVI is funs. I seldom hear any noise from rear, engine, or dashboard. Maybe the car is still brand new.

(3) Comfort
I think MYVI is spacious than Hyundai Getz and comparable to Honda Jazz. (Even till todate I stil feel like Jazz is bigger than MYVI..  )

My friend carry here babe sit in front and push the seat back to maximum and 3 of us (all guys) sat at the back still have some space to turn around. Even the front seat is just nice to touch our knee even she push her seat back to maximum. Getz definitely not able to do this. (Our average height is about 173cm).

View for driver is just nice and there is no blind point when you look at the reflector mirror. NOt like Gen 2 or Savvy, too many blind point.

The only comments is that the seat is a bit hard and not so comfortable. Sirion is better. But again, we r paying RM50K only....

Aircond is cool....not bad.

The only comments is the gear knob. It is too low for 1000cc manual.

(4) Quality
If you asked me, Sirion and MYVI, which is better, I can said from exterior not much diff but interior... Sirion is better.

However, P2 is really make big improvement on the door.. Unlike other P2 car or Proton car, the door can close very easily and you dont hv to close few times. There is similar to Toyota car... I impress with this.

I still dont like the brake, fuel paddle...

As for 1000cc, i think the paddle is a bit near to each other and therefore you must be quickly get use to their gap distance so that you will not press wrong paddle.

Paint work is execellent.. there is nothing much to complaint.

(5) Others
Gear shift is smooth, power steering is good. Even with such a small space, we can do the 3 point turn easilly. Dont have to press too much fuel the car will run like a wild horse...
For me, I would like to change to better tyres and 15" rim. The stock tyres is quite bumpy when we drive on the bumpy road. (Is that bcoz of the tyres still new?)

That's all whan I find. Since getting the car tomorrow... hope to find out more....Cheers,

MYVI bermasalah

bagi pemilik Myvi... ni ada sikit petikan....

Taken from http://paultan.org

A forumer dawn at the Perodua Myvi Forums has alerted us of a problem with the Perodua Myvi rear drum brakes. Apparently something is wrong with the left rear drum brake, causing the handbrake to have not much gripping power when parked on a slope.
He recounts his experience:

VERY IMPORTANT! Please be very careful when parking your cars on hills and roads which are angled. Your hand brake does not really work. I parked my car last night, pulled my hand brake and let go of my front brakes. I didn’t realise the car was moving. At the same time, I reached out to get my cell phone from the holder, my car hit the wall.

Later, I go find my friend and we test. I pull the hand brake, but one person is still enough to push the car and the car rolls. OMG!!!

So tomorrow, I’m gonna plaster the front bumper, paint a bit and get a new number plate. Damn, gonna cost me like RM200+. Damn it. If can, I will post some pictures but I gonna finish this as soon as possible so my dad doesnt find out, but I’ll try and see whether I can borrow camera.

Forumer songfui81 also mentioned that Perodua has been alerted of this problem with the left rear drum brake. Perodua Myvi owners with chassis number PM2M301S002000001 to PM2M301S002002500 should send your cars back to the Service Center to see whether your car is affected and fix the problem.

For Perodua Myvi automatic transmission owners, please shift your gear to the P position when parking to take advantage of the gearbox parking lock in addition to your handbrake.

(ada org perodua dok komplen savvy... hakikatnya Myvi pun ada problem jugak)
