Guests at KL fashion show outed for not wearing masks, socially distancing

Guests at a fashion show yesterday have been called out for not wearing face masks and sitting close to each other at the event.

About a hundred people attended the Glorious Raya 2021 fashion show by local brand Leeyanarahman Collection at the Glam Hall in Kuala Lumpur, some of whom were seen without masks in the live stream and photos.

“These fashion show-goers are not wearing masks, are they immune to the virus?” Twitter user @Jeppppppppppp_ asked today, including a screenshot of a now-deleted Instagram post by the brand.

“If one person is infected with the virus, everyone else may get it too,” the user added.

The attendees did not seem to practice social distancing at the hour-long event showcasing outfits for the upcoming Hari Raya celebrations in May. While some of them did have masks on, others didn’t.

Under Malaysia’s COVID-19 regulations, those caught without wearing masks in public face RM10,000 (US$2,500) fines.

Neither of the brand’s bosses, Nur Liyana Abdul Rahman and Muhammad Hafiz, immediately responded to Coconuts’ requests for comment.

Private events like fashion shows can continue to take place in Malaysia, where a state of emergency is still in place till August. Organizers are required to obtain a police permit and ensure that guests are socially distanced and wear masks at all times.

Malaysia has reported 336,808 COVID-19 cases and 1,246 deaths.

second laki bini kerja dok show off 24 jam... dah kaya tu kaya je dik... udah2 ler show off tu... orang lain pun ada benda lebih kurang apa dorang ada....

third tamak... selalu buka pre-order tapi stok takde... stok lambat sampai... stok dari china tak siap lagi... dah lepas raya pun belum tentu dapat... bila customer minta refund tak dapat...

ehhh ko dah kaya dah pun dik... motip ko tak nak refund customer? bukan luak pun harta tu...

entah... denda je terus... orang2 macamni la kerajaan patut "BUAT DUIT" bukannya adik2 sekolah lagi yang pergi tanya kedai pasal ubat...

orang macamni kalau kerajaan denda pun takde sape nak bekap...

Laki bini flex lebih sejak jadi murid jijan semang.. Kakak nya tu pun sama, dulu ok lagi.
Business tunjuk lifestyle mmg takkan ke mana la, dah la menipu customer tiap tahun..

Tahun ni bakalan muncul lagi thread baju tak sampai, duit customer tak refund, founder acah victim sampai ajm.
