Definisi buku menurut UNESCO (1964), iaitu terbitan tercetak tidak berkala berjumlah sekurang2nya 49 halaman, tidak termasuk halaman kulit. Definis Pamplet adalah terbitan tidak berkala dengan jumlah halaman sekurang2nya 5 halaman, namun tidak melebihi 49 halaman.
