A group of girls were seated at the corner of the student recreation room at the top floor of the student union building. They were busy exchanging stories of their summer holidays, some spent it home with their family, and some went traveling all over Europe. They boys were busy showing off their skills at the pool table as all of them waited to greet the new batch of international students. The new students were shown to their hostels earlier to refresh themselves before assembling again for a quick get-to-know session. Earlier this morning a group of them, the International Student Society, has volunteered to go to the train station at Stoke-On-Trent to receive the new group of students attending their University this year.

She had followed along as she heard that there will be a new Postgraduate student from Malaysia, she thought by her being there it will be easier and faster for him to adapt as there were so few Malaysians in their University. When the train has arrived, about eight new students abort their rides there. Most of them were Europeans, so it was easy for her to spot him instantly. He was pleasantly startled when he spotted her, it was such relief to find a familiar Malaysian face in the crowd and he quickly walked towards her.

He extended his empty hand, the other carrying his big luggage, 揌i saya Edward, tapi panggil saja Ed.
