Sejarah Skudai.
Aku nak tributekan thrad ini dengan ceritakan Sejarah Skudai. Kalau ade sesiape nak add up amat dialu-alukan. Dari aku kecik2 dulu selalu pikir asal-usul Skudai nie, camner leh dapat name Skudai, siapa pengasasnya dan camner Skudai boleh berkembang sampai sekarang.
Ini kire mukaddimah kepada sejarah Skudai.
"Skudai is a small town about 13.7 kilometers north of Johor Bahru. It is named after the Dato Bendahara Sekudai, a member of the line of Bendahara of Johor. The Dato probably dwelt here although his fort was lower down the river. A river, which has the same name, runs through the village. Many tales have been told about of the Dato who is said to be of aboriginal descent. It was believed he could work spells to cause those who offended him to wander into the jungle, never to be seen again."

Mak aku penah cakap asalnya Skudai nie cuma pekan Bt 10 tuh ajer..pekan tuh wujud pun sebab dulu Sultan Johor suka berburu kat Kulai (masa tuh Kulai hutan belantara lagi) so laluan utama ke Kulai mesti melalui Skudai. Jadi dia arahkan pembinaan jambatan Skudai (mase tuh jambatan kayu ajer) untuk seberang Sg. Skudai.
Disebabkan pembinaan jambatan tuh, pekan Bt 10 makin berkembang maju dan akhirnya merebak ke kawasan lain.

Fakta mengenai Skudai.
Skudai is a rapidly expanding suburb of Johor Bahru, the largest city in and the capital of the state of Johor in southern Malaysia. Skudai is part of the new growth corridor of southwest Johor, which includes the Senai International Airport, Tanjung Pelepas Port and the proposed new administrative capital of Johor, Bandar Nusajaya. Its population ranges between 150,000 and 200,000. It is the headquarters of the Johor Bahru Central Municipal Council and it is home to the Universiti Teknologi Malaysia campus.
Skudai is located 8 km, 4 km and 16 km from Kulai, Senai and Johor Bahru city (bandaraya) respectively.
Nearby towns and housing areas are Taman Universiti, Taman Sri Skudai, Taman Desa Skudai, Taman Sri Putri, Taman Tun Aminah, Taman Pulai Utama, Mutiara Rini, Taman Nusa Bestari 2, Taman Damai Jaya, Bandar Selesa Jaya, Taman Timor, Taman Seri Orkid, Taman Sri Yaakob, Taman Nusa Jaya, Taman JB and Taman Skudai Indah.
Shopping
Skudai has a large catchment area, hence the number of shopping centres built around Skudai. The shopping centres that are in and within Skudai are Skudai Parade, Jusco Taman Universiti, KIP Mart, Skudai Mall, The Store in Taman Ungku Tun Aminah, Bestmart in Taman Nusa Bestari, Giant Hypermarket which along the Jalan Skudai and Kemayan City. The latter two shopping centres were abandoned. Skudai plaza was abandoned due to bankruptcy attributing to poor business while Kemayan City was abandoned during construction for unknown reasons.
Food
Skudai is famous with variety of duck dishes such as roasted duck, "Lo Ah" braise duck. Also many Chinese food like chicken rice also well known.
School
Sekolah Rendah Jenis Kebangsaan (Cina) Kuo Kuang 1(SRJK(C)KUO KUANG 1)[KUO KUANG PRIMARY SCHOOL] is also the biggest Chinese primary school in Skudai which accommodates around 5000 primary students and just along the Jalan Skudai(Skudai Road)and it is at the Taman Tun Aminah.
Moreover, SRJK(C)PU SZE, which is in Kampung Baru Skudai, is the second biggest Chinese Primary School in Skudai. Apart from that, the secondary schools in Skudai are SEKOLAH MENENGAH KEBANGSAAN TAMAN TUN AMINAH(SMK TAMAN TUN AMINAH)(TAMAN TUN AMINAH SECONDARY SCHOOL) SEKOLAH MENENGAH TAMAN SKUDAI BARU, SEKOLAH MENENGAH TAMAN BANDAR SELESA JAYA 1, SEKOLAH MENENGAH TAMAN BANDAR SELESA JAYA 2, SEKOLAH MENENGAH TAMAN UNIVERSITI, SEKOLAH MENENGAH TAMAN UNIVERSITI 2, SEKOLAH MENENGAH TAMAN SRI SKUDAI, SEKOLAH MENENGAH TAMAN DESA SKUDAI, SEKOLAH MENENGAH TAMAN MUTIARA RINI 1, SEKOLAH MENENGAH TAMAN MUTIARA RINI 2,
Furthermore, the tertiary schools in Skudai are Southern College University of Technology Malaysia (UTM)
