The South Korean release of a new film about K-pop superstars BTS has been indefinitely delayed, due to the coronavirus pandemic.
The documentary film Break The Silence: The Movie had been scheduled for a Sept 10 release in South Korean theatres.
While it will not go ahead on that date in South Korea, Break The Silence: The Movie will be released in Malaysia on Sept 10 as planned.
The film is the fourth theatrical film release featuring the band. It follows the group during the 2019 Love Yourself: Speak Yourself world tour in the United States, Europe and Asia.
At the MTV Video Music Awards on Sunday (Aug 30), BTS performed its English single Dynamite . At the awards ceremony, BTS was named Best Group. For its music video On, it received Best Pop, Best K-pop and Best Choreography awards.
BTS's latest single arrived six months after the release of the group's fourth studio album, Map Of The Soul: 7, which dropped in February.
The Dynamite music video became an instant record-holder for highest number of YouTube viewers for a video premiere.
On Aug 23, it also set a new YouTube record for views in the first 24 hours of release and topped 100 million views in that time period, beating the prior record holder, Blackpink's How You Like That. – Reuters
IONIQ x BTS - IONIQ: I'm on it Official M/V BTS drops 'IONIQ: I'm On It' to promote Hyundai electric car, fans say 'good things coming at the same time'
Looks like the iconic K-pop group got inspired to write more English songs for their fans as the latest number has been penned in English
With the BTS Army still rejoicing over the South Korean band’s latest Internet sensation, ‘Dynamite,’ the seven-member crew has dropped their new single ‘IONIQ: I’m On It’, a promotional song to launch Hyundai Motors' latest electric vehicle IONIQ.
Looks like the iconic K-pop group got inspired to write more English songs for their fans as ‘IONIQ’ has been penned in English. A lyrical video was first dropped on the official website of Hyundai Motors and the official video of this catchy number has already hit the Internet. Sticking to the concept of Hyundai's new electric four-wheeler and band member's lives, the lyrics reflect on the future. The song goes like, “Full energy, higher esteem/ Better focus on what’s charging me.” Taking the concept in the spotlight, the official video of the new song does justice to the lyrics as well. The video looks futuristic where the Hyundai car also makes an appearance.
This is not the first time that BTS is joining hands with the motor giant. The boy band had collaborated with Hyundai in 2019 when they filmed multiple commercials and ad campaigns for the company's then brand new car, Palisade. According to the publication KoreaBoo, whilst working on the music video for ‘IONIQ: I’m On it’, RM explained the meaning behind this project. He asserted, “For this special project, we have all focused on individual moments that are important to us. For me, time for inner self is extremely important and I believe we all need time for reflection to be able to grow.” Reacting quickly to the BTS's new vibrant single, the BTS Army took to social media to express their happiness. One fan tweeted, “By the way, 'IONIQ : I'm on it' is so good! The MV is beautiful. Good things are coming at the same time. Multitasking ARMY life.”

BTS (방탄소년단) 'Savage Love' (Laxed – Siren Beat) [BTS Remix] Lyric Video . Lagu ori "savage love "nyanyian Jason derulo.
BTS Makes History As “Savage Love” And “Dynamite” Rule At No. 1 And No. 2 On Billboard’s Hot 100
BTS grabs their second No. 1 on Billboard’s Hot 100!
On October 12 local time, Billboard announced that Jawsh 685, Jason Derulo, and BTS’s “Savage Love (Laxed – Siren Beat)” is now at No. 1 on the Hot 100 chart. “Savage Love (Laxed – Siren Beat)” was released by Jawsh 685 and Jason Derulo, and BTS joined them to share two remixes (a vocal and an instrumental version) of the hit on October 2. The remixes propelled the song from No. 8 on the Hot 100 to No. 1 this week!
“Savage Love (Laxed – Siren Beat)” reached 16 million U.S. streams (up 32 percent) and sold 76,000 downloads (up 814 percent) in the week ending October 8, according to Nielsen Music/MRC Data. It also tallied 70.6 million radio airplay audience impressions (down 2 percent) in the week ending October 11.
Billboard states that BTS is listed on the Hot 100 as a billed act for the song for the first time because the track’s overall activity in the tracking week favored the versions with all three artists. It’s described that the majority of the track’s overall sales were owed to the BTS remixes, almost all of the song’s overall radio airplay was for the Jawsh 685 and Jason Derulo version, and overall streaming for the song was split more evenly among the versions with or without BTS.
Meanwhile, BTS’s “Dynamite” remains at No. 2 in its seventh week on the Hot 100! The song has now spent four total weeks at No. 2 with three total weeks at No. 1.
“Dynamite” continues to reign at the top of the Digital Song Sales chart (94,000, up 9 percent) and takes No. 21 on the Streaming Songs chart (13.4 million U.S. streams, down 2 percent) after coming in No. 13 last week. It shoots up to No. 26 on the Radio Songs chart (27.3 million impressions, up 18 percent) from No. 39 last week.
BTS became the first all-Korean act to take No. 1 on the Hot 100 when “Dynamite” debuted at the top this summer. They’re now the first Korean act to rank simultaneously at No. 1 and No. 2!
The Hot 100 ranks the most popular songs in the United States across all genres based on streaming, radio airplay, and sales data. Billboard’s charts will update for this week (dated October 17) on its website on October 13.
Congratulations to BTS!
Billboard also notes that BTS is the first group to take the top two spots simultaneously since The Black Eyed Peas did so for four weeks in June-July 2009 with “Boom Boom Pow” and “I Gotta Feeling.” The only other duos or groups who have done so in history are OutKast, Bee Gees, and The Beatles.
BTS Achieves New Record As “Dynamite” MV Reaches 500 Million Views
BTS “Dynamite” is now the fastest Korean group MV to reach 500 million views!
On October 20 at approximately 9 a.m. KST, the music video for “Dynamite” surpassed 500 million views on YouTube. “Dynamite” was released on August 21 at 1 p.m. KST, meaning that it took 59 days and 20 hours to reach the milestone.
This breaks the previous record for fastest Korean group MV to reach 500 million views, which was held by BLACKPINK’s “How You Like That” at two months and 12 days.
BTS’ new song ‘Life Goes On’ is not getting much radio play
To date, the “Life Goes On” music video has over 125 million views on YouTube. The septet debuted the song at the 2020 American Music Awards on Nov. 22, and the song topped the iTunes Top Songs chart in the U.S. upon its release.
However, “Life Goes On” is receiving little radio play, which happened to BTS’ single “ON” from their album Map of the Soul: 7 in February 2020. While the song has some English lyrics, “Life Goes On” is primarily sung in Korean. Pdogg is credited as a writer and the producer of the song, and RM, Ruuth, Chris James, Antonina Armato, Suga, and J-Hope are credited as songwriters.
“Dynamite” received over 900 spins on its first day. “Life Goes On” received less than 10 spins by U.S. radio on its first day of release, and “Dynamite” continues to receive solid radio promotion.
In addition to the language barrier, “Dynamite” is a more radio-friendly track with its disco-pop sound. As an alternative hip-hop track, “Life Goes On” is calming, but U.S. listeners are already familiar with “Dynamite.” Because “Dynamite” is also included on BE, radio can promote BTS’ new album while continuing to push “Dynamite,” a proven hit, over the new “Life Goes On.”
