The magpie’s Lunar New Year, and our Lunar New Year has passed, and we’re already a month into 2020. Have you been doing well during this long winter?
For me, this winter has been especially cold. I needed to hibernate for a little while to overcome the cold. I’m sorry for leaving without a proper goodnight. I should have at least said goodbye to our Danity, and I’m so sorry that instead, I am apologizing to you so late right now.
That frozen winter of mine seems to have an end, and that end must be the start of spring. The warm stories you have sent me have brought spring to me, and I am trying to pick myself back up and greet the coming spring.
Even though I may be late, I wanted to sincerely thank you for warmly embracing me, even though you must have been so surprised by the sudden news. Thank you for sharing your hearts with me on our fan cafe. Thank you so much for listening to my somewhat rough story, supporting me, waiting for me, and being with me. I can never say it [how thankful I am] enough.
I will get back up now. I will give back to you as much as you have give me, even more. Though not every day can be happy, I believe that if I’m with you, there will be many more happy days. I will make sure there are many more days where we smile this year.

Following his heartfelt letter, a source from his agency KONNECT Entertainment stated, “Though it is difficult to say that Kang Daniel has completely recovered, he wishes to begin resuming his activities as an artist. However, as of now, we do not have any concrete details.”

Kang Daniel personally got involved in the making of the collection, from planning out what items he wanted to see and making design suggestions. He talked about what he likes to do when he’s not on stage, what his favorite kind of airport fashion is, and what kind of items he would want to prepare for his fans.
Following his hiatus in December, Kang Daniel will soon be returning to scheduled activities.
A representative from SBS F!L released a statement to the press on February 11, saying, “Kang Daniel is currently in the United States filming a new show called ‘Hello, Daniel.’ Further details are not yet set in stone.”
Kang Daniel’s agency, Connect Entertainment, further clarified his comeback. “It is true that Kang Daniel is currently filming in the United States. However, the broadcast date has not yet been decided upon. Kang Daniel plans to gradually begin working on preparations for a new album, but right now there are no definitive plans for that, either. We will release more information as we make such decisions.”
Kang Daniel took a break from all scheduled activities back in December, citing physical and mental health issues.
