kalu tgk rafael main lagi besh dari fabio, fabio nampak kurang konpeden dan defensive lapses pun banyak gak |

Ferguson launches blast at footballing fakers
August 16, 2009

Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson insists players who pretend to be injured in order to cause stoppages in play are "killing the game".
Sir Alex Ferguson: No time for actors
Ferguson's men were involved in a controversial incident during last Sunday's Community Shield at Wembley when defender Patrice Evra went down injured but Chelsea played on and scored, with referee Chris Foy playing the advantage.
The Scot claims referees are finding it increasingly difficult to differentiate between genuine instances when the game needs to be stopped to treat injuries and when players are trying to trick them into blowing the whistle.
A further complication is that the decision to stop play is not entirely in the official's hands, with some players still opting to abide by what Ferguson calls the "unwritten rule" to kick the ball into touch when a player goes down, injured or otherwise.
Ferguson feels if players only went to ground when genuinely injured, the referee's job would be much easier.
"This unwritten rule has come into the game and opportunist players have just overdone it. They have overcooked the whole thing," he said.
"Last week Evra was through and into the last third of the pitch, the referee stops it and (Michael) Ballack gets up. It could have been a serious problem so he stopped the game.
"Then when Evra is fouled, Chelsea don't kick the ball out, the referee plays on and we lose a goal.
"It is a grey area and something has to be done about it.
"The players are killing the game. The players' unprofessionalism is killing the game. Not the referees. The problem is how much the referee can tolerate when the players lie down pretending to be injured.
"There is no doubt that this unwritten rule about players kicking the ball into touch has been exploited to ridiculous degrees now."
Ferguson added: "I spoke to my players about it and told them not to kick the ball out, that they should let the referee decide when to stop the game.
"But the players wouldn't do it. If players don't put the ball out they get stick off opposing players and opposing fans.
"If a referee stops the game twice when players go down and on the third occasion he decides to play on, he makes a rod for his own back.
"Last Sunday, Chelsea had plenty of time to kick the ball out when Patrice Evra was injured after being fouled by Michael Ballack." |

United vs Birmingham: Player Ratings
Manchester United
Ben Foster - 7
Showed a lot more confidence coming out of his goal and made a brilliant save off a Benitez shot.
Fabio Da Silva - 6
The young Brazilian was a bundle of energy down the right but he needs to be more decisive when he is involved in attack.
John O'Shea - 6
Brought in as a late replacement for the crocked Rio Ferdinand. Had an average game with one or two moments of uncertainty.
Jonny Evans - 7
Had to marshal United's defence with Nemanja Vidic and Ferdinand sitting in the stands. Was solid in the tackle and commanded his troops well.
Patrice Evra - 7.5
The Frenchman started the season like a man on a mission. Always a threat going forward, his goal-line clearance ensured United had a winning start.
Antonio Valencia - 6.5
To have your debut in front of a full-house Old Trafford crowd can be quite nervy. The winger showed that his forte is to deliver crosses rather than score goals. Needs more time to gel with his teammates.
King Darren Fletcher - 8
Fletcher is fast becoming Ferguson's mouthpiece on the field. His tenacity and willingness to lead by example was clear for all to see.
Paul Scholes - 7
Scholes may not be the same player he was a decade ago but the Englishman still has some legs left as he put in a solid shift alongside Fletcher.
Nani - 5
After his good showing in the Community Shield, the Portuguese seemed to have lost his way again.
Dimitar Berbatov - 7
Finally being played in the position he thrives on most. Right at the top of United's attacking axis. Showed some good touches but needs to be more clinical.
Wayne Rooney - 8
Rooney will be the key man for the Red Devils this season. With two goals in two weeks, he seems to be on his way to a 20-goal season.
Substitutes
Ryan Giggs - 6
Came on to provide some leadership and also to calm things down. Did what was needed and never put a foot wrong.
Michael Owen - 5
For all the promise showed in pre-season, Owen looked every bit the player he was at Newcastle. Missed a good chance to score in a one-on-one situation with Joe Hart.
Wes Brown - 6
Good to see Brown back in action. Looked rusty at times but the season has only just begun hasn't it?
Birmingham
Joe Hart - 7
The on-loan stopper made a few crucial saves but was helpless when it came to Rooney's goal.
Stephen Carr - 5
Too slow for the top flight. Was given a torrid time by United's wingers.
Roger Johnson - 7
Johnson was the reason United managed only one goal. Made a few last ditch tackles to prevent the ball from ending up in the back of the net.
Frank Queudrue - 6
Like Carr, Queudrue had difficulty coping with the pace of the game.
Gregory Vignal - 7
The former Liverpool defender was full of running but could not provide an attacking option for Alex McLeish's side.
Sebastian Larsson - 5
A lot if expected of the talented playmaker but he failed to shine in his first outing of the season.
Keith Fahey - 6
Fahey will need to get used to the style of play in the Premiership fast. Showed his inexperience on some occasions.
Lee Carsley - 6.5
The Everton old-boy tried in vain to stop the rampaing Devils but his fellow midfielders were not up to the task.
Barry Ferguson - 4
Used to be touted as Scotland's best midfielder but showed just why Rangers were willing to let him go with a poor performance.
James McFadden - 7
Birmingham's hopes of staying in the top flight will fall on his shoulders. Looked dangerous when he had the ball around the box.
Cameron Jerome - 6.5
Never easy to be the lone striker when up against United.
Did not get much of a chance to test Foster.
Substitutes
Gary O'Connor - 5
Failed to use his huge frame against Evans and O'Shea.
Christian BENITEZ - 6
Benitez came on with little time left to make a significant impact.
