Lampard and Gerrard are top English players in poll

Frank Lampard and Steven Gerrard last night finished second and third respectively to Ronaldinho in the European Footballer of the Year.
With Ronaldinho, Barcelona's brilliant Brazilian, the runaway winner on 225 points, Lampard polled 148 with Gerrard close behind on 142. The next two Englishmen were the centre-halves, John Terry (10th equal) and 20th-placed Jamie Carragher.
Ronaldinho, whose technique and sense of adventure helped Barcelona to La Liga glory, had been expected to romp home and he was presented with the Ballon d'Or at a glittering ceremony here in Paris last night.
What did surprise many observers was the gap between Gerrard and fourth-placed Thierry Henry - a staggering 101 points. Andrei Shevchenko, last year's winner, came fifth on 33 points.
Many were hoping that Paolo Maldini would feature but the evergreen AC Milan defender came sixth, followed by three other Serie A heavyweights, Adriano, Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Kaka. Then came Terry, tied with Ronaldinho's club-mate, Samuel Eto'o, on 18 points.
Other Chelsea players to register in the scoring included Claude Makelele (who finished 13th), Petr Cech and Didier Drogba (both 14th equal), Michael Essien (22nd, primarily for his work with Lyon), and Arjen Robben (25th). As well as Carragher in 20th place, Liverpool also had Luis Garcia as the 23rd best player in Europe.
For Manchester United, Cristiano Ronaldo shared 20th spot with Carragher, while Park Ji-Sung (mainly for work with PSV Eindhoven) came joint 25th along with Wayne Rooney and Ruud van Nistelrooy. David Beckham, Michael Owen and Patrick Vieira also finished 25th equal.

aku tak pernah suka kalau tentukan pemenang ikut vote nie..mmg akan ada bias punya..pilih kasih
aku rasa cara paling best, setiap player, start season..akan ada point..gol berapa point..assist berapa..menang berapa..man of the match lagi banyak point etc etc etc..utk keeper, clean sheet, saves etc etc etc..baru la adil..keeper pon ada chance nak menang.. |

ada point utk setiap jenis posisi la (attack, midfield, defend, gk)
kalau utk defender, tackle, heading, clearance semua tu la
kira setiap jenis posisi tu, utk attacker, gol paling banyak point..midfiled assist dia paling banyak point, defend lak maybe saving tackle dia paling banyak point, gk lak clean sheet..contoh la..

aku rasa memamng kena cari cara yg lg diiktiraf dari voting system la..
pengalaman aku masuk aper2 competition yg kena suruh vote utk pilih pemenang..mmg menyakitkan hati
contoh: radioactive shirt competition, utk category people's choice award..design dia seriously buruk gila, tapi vote dia..hampir full mark (purata) which is sgt tak logik..so dia yg menang..kalau bukan member yg vote, maybe dia pergi ke beratus2 pc utk vote tshirt dia sendiri..
ps/ teringat masa rooney menang award aper ntah (fifPro rasanya), dia kata thanks for voting..pastu dlm news tu kata, players dari 1 kelab nie tertanya2 sesama sendiri, ada vote ke utk award nie? kantoi takder vote pon, actually org dalam yg tentukan..tapi bgtau kat dunia, fellow professional players yg vote.. |
