IT WAS during the creation of the movie 1957 Hati Malaya that directorShuhaimi Baba discovered things that were not in the history books andfelt inspired by the various freedom fighters who chartered the courseof Malaysia抯 independence.
揟he movie is in memory of Tunku Abdul Rahman, Datuk Onn Jaafar, TunSambanthan, Tun Tan Cheng Lock and all the heroes and unsung heroes ofMerdeka.
