Big Hit Rookie f(x), Takes over Drama OST too “Sings for Invincible Lee Pyung Kang”
Rookie, f(x), participated in the OST for KBS 2TV Mon-Tues Drama ‘Invincible Lee Pyung Kang’.
Thesong ‘Difficult and Easy’, sung together by f(x)’s Luna and Krystal, isa piece of work from popular composer Park Geun Tae and lyricist Kim YiNa. It is a beautiful ballad song in which the lyrics are about a lovethat looks awkward, clumsy and hard, but the love will be earnestlynurtured.
The music video for ‘Difficult and Easy’ will berevealed through GomTV on November 13th. Also it is anticipated thatthe song will make the sweet love story between Lee Pyung Kang (NamSang Mi) and Woo On Dal (Ji Hyun Woo) even more fun.
Also thissong will be revealed through Melon, Dosirak, Cyworld and various othermusic sites on November 16th. This song is the third song revealed fromthe ‘Invincible Lee Pyung Kang’ OST after 8eight Lee Hyun’s ‘I Can’tBreathe’ and MC Mong’s ‘Who’s the Man’ featuring Maybee. We anticipatea much bigger interest for the drama equal to that of the songs.
Onthe other hand, f(x) will perform their title song "Chu~♡" on the 14thfor MBC’s ‘Music Core’ and on the 15th for SBS’s ‘Inkigayo.

Popular rookie girl group f(x) had an interview with Newsen. They talked about a variety of interesting things, such as how Amber was always boyish to how f(x) got close with fellow idol groups around them.
Firstly, they talked about how the competitiveness with other girl idol groups lead to friendship.
f(x) commented:
"All of our members like to make friends. We have neverthought about having a competition with other girl groups. Rather thanbeing our rivals, we think of them as our friends, buddies, sunbaes andhoobaes."
Sulli continued:
"It is to the point where I have told Krystal, 'ifwe are friends, let's have a really friendly relationship,' when wewere debuting. Coincidently, our activity schedules overlapped with Kara and 4minute's. I have become close to 94ers Jiyoung [Kara] and So Hyun[4minute]. They are really kind and with our same ages along with thesame environment of our activities, we became close. As I becamefriends with the two, I got closer with each of their groups [4minute& Kara]."
Amber also commented:
"I found out that Kara's Nicole lived in a similarneighborhood as me. When I talk with her, it reminds me of my home alot. She has been giving me a lot of help."
f(x)'s leader Victoria also added:
"I became really close to Kara's Gyuri and Seungyeon. I talk to Gyuri a lot because we are leaders of a group. I am really happy that I have friends who can help me."
f(x) also talked about their sunbaes from SM Entertainment.
f(x) as a group commented:
"We feel proud to be in the same agency as SNSD, who are Korea's best girl group. They are our sunbaes and we have a lot to learn from."
To another of their sunbaes, SHINee, they commented:
"When they recently got first place on a music show, wewere really happy as if we were the ones that won. We were thrilledwhen SHINee said, 'Give lots of love to f(x)' on their encore stage. Wewere already aware of their dance moves for Ring Ding Dong, so we were able to stand on the stage together. It was really fun."
They then talked about Amber's tomboy image, clarifying rumors andstatements amongst fans who said she was given the image by SM.
Amber commented:
"To be honest, I want to show more of this kind [boyish] ofimage. My image was not made up. Ever since I was young, I liked boyishstyles. Being boyish is my natural looks."
Luna and Krystal commented:
"We were surprised when we first saw Amber, as we thought she was a boy. It was because she is boyish in her everyday life.
Sulli added:
"I wasn't really surprised as I knew Amber earlier than therest of the members. But when I first saw her, I was thinking she wasreally boyish."
f(x) as a group commented:
"Because Amber grew up in America, she is unfamiliar with alot of things. She is a member who works hard. Her Korean language isbetter than before. She is a member who keeps changing every day."
Lastly, Krystal talked about SNSD's Jessica, who as you all know, is her older sister.
Krystal commented:
"When f(x) debuted [September], my sister was finished withher activities so we got to see each other often. When we would meet ateither our home or at the rehearsal room, we would cheer each other on.I currently don't see my sister as often because she is busy with hermusicals. During my debut, my sister said to me, 'You will succeedbetter than me so don't worry about anything and do your best.' Shegave me a lot of strength when I was worrying a lot just after mydebut."

f(x) “If the first snow falls…” The Five Girls’ Dream [Interview]
f(x)’s awkward first meeting. What were your first impressions of each other?
Victoria,who came from China, vividly remembers the first day she came to Koreaand the first day she met the members. “It was December 4th, 2007. Thewhole time in the airplane I memorized, ‘Hello. I am Sòng Qiàn, I am 22years old and I am from China’ again and again. At the practice studioI met and greeted Luna first, but after I said the sentences Imemorized, I had nothing else to say. Although it was such a difficultand awkward moment, I remember Luna gave me a warm smile.”
Thereis also another member with a similar experience. Taiwanese memberAmber, who came from America, was the same. At a first glance, shelooks like a good-looking boy with a boyish appearance, which madeSulli sweat a lot. Sulli said, “The first day Amber came, she wasassigned to the same room as me. After greeting each other with a nod,I had nothing else to say. Although I was pretending to be using thecomputer with my back turned against her, my mind was clouded withworries on how to break the awkward silence. In the end, after watchingAmber lie down to sleep, I quickly ran and turned off the lights andsaid ‘Good Night’”
“Huh.. What kind of name is f(x)?”
Thename f(x), is quite strange. The meaning of it is: Like a functionalformula, the results will change depending on what the value of ‘x’ isin the formula, and that they will be active with a diverse appearance.Also, the ‘f’ stands for flower, and the ‘x’ represents the femalechromosomes (XX).
Luna said, “f(x) sounded like some sort ofdelivery company or some sort of cable channel name. The name made meso curious about it. I had a feeling that we would be able to tell manystories about the name alone.
Sulli said, “At that time Inever learned about functional formulas” and she said with a grin, “Iwas not even sure if the name was effects or f(x) but I heard it wasf(x) later on and um… I was happy it was 4 characters”. They havefollowed the drift of having 4 characters like So Nyuh Shi Dae andWonder Girls. (4 characters as in the Korean characters.. 에프엑스)
At our first stage “I cried a lot?”
Thefirst stage is an unforgettable experience for any singer. It did notdiffer much for f(x). Krystal said, “My sister Jessica came to thewaiting room herself and gave her support. While monitoring us shesaid, ‘Try to be a bit more natural’ but I said does that sound easy asit is”. Whenever I think about that moment, it makes me feel ashamedand I pretend to wipe off the sweat on my forehead with the back of myhand.
Amber said, “My parents came from far away to watch mystage. It had been so long since I have met my parents. My parentswatching over me and just staying there gave me such huge strength.Also at our first stage rehearsal the Director asked me what my namewas and I simply replied ‘Amber’ but after that I felt embarrassed. Iam Amber, I am Amber… It’s hard” (Amber did not say her name in aformal sentence)
On the other side, Sulli said with a tearfulface “That day, I was the only one who got the choreography wrong” andVictoria exclaimed, “The cheers were, Wow! Seriously.. Wow~”.Tearful-faced Krystal added in, “We cried a lot at that time right?”Simultaneously, Victoria, Sulli, and Amber countered back “I did notcry!” Then Krystal said, “Ah, so I was the only one who was cryingtheir head off? That’s not right, I know Luna cried for sure..”.
First CD, First Gift “Call me if you want to become a Star”
Wecannot leave out the time they were handed their first album and theirfirst mutual response with fans. Victoria said, “When I received the CDfor the first time, it felt like something was rising in my throat. Itseemed like my heart was going to explode and my face turned red. Thewhole day I carried the CD in my hand while smiling like a fool."
Lunasaid, “The first day I saw the CD, I had to sign about 300 CD’s. Thejacket shoot day, recording day, ‘LA chA TA’ activity days seemed to goby so quickly.”
Amber recalled the day she heard 'Chu~♡' forthe first time. “Before we started recording 'Chu~♡', I wanted to thinkof it as ‘my song’. I kept on saying ‘No matter what I will sing thissong’” I also cannot forget the first time we had a mutual responsewith our fans. Particularly, Amber had a bit of a weird experience.Amber said with a laugh, “One time at a local venue a fan that lookedof age, gave me a black envelope and said ‘Amber, buy delicious food’.I was surprised because inside the envelope it was filled with bundlesof money. My manager oppa gave the money back to that person rightaway.
Krystal said, “I received a cell phone chain as apresent and there was a note with ‘Call me if you want to become astar’ written on it along with a phone number. It was the first time Ireceived a present from a fan and I have cherished the moment becauseit was funny.
“If the first snow falls..” The winter that f(x) is dreaming about is?
Itwas about time for the interview to end so I asked the f(x) members,‘When the first snow falls, what do you want to do?’. Firstly, Sullisaid, “It would be nice if we were with all the members. If a lot ofsnow falls then I want to make a snowman and have snow fights.”Victoria said, “After the snow fight, going into a warm place andsitting while drinking coffee would be nice”. Krystal added, “I want todecorate a Christmas tree, and to have a winter feeling, I want todecorate the house.”
Amber said, “I would like it if snow camein the Winter” Also “Snow did not fall in Los Angeles, so on the dayssnow comes I want to be out in the snow the whole day”. Luna who waspondering the whole time said something silly, “Let’s sell roastedsweet potatoes”. “After making some roasted sweet potatoes, we can givethem out for free to people who are having fun dancing and playing.Like a Guerilla Concert. Wouldn’t that be fun?” The other membersapplauded, “Wow! That would be fun”.
When I asked f(x) whattheir first goal was, I remember hearing a predictable response fromthem, “Becoming Asia’s best pop group.” But other than saying thosewords they also said, “Between ourselves, we want to sell roasted sweetpotatoes and have a surprise performance”. Without anyone’sinterference, having fun and doing things you want to do as a idolsinger is much harder than becoming ‘Asia’s best pop group’.

f(x) members Amber, Krystal and Sulli have been diagnosed with Swine Flu.
On the 22nd, the three members, feeling symptoms of a cold, they wentto receive examinations at the hospital and were diagnosed with SwineFlu on the 23rd.
Members Luna and Victoria, however, have not been affected and are currently healthy.
f(x) will unfortunately be canceling their attendance at the K-Pop Night concert in Shanghai, China scheduled for November 25th.
