Fabregas: I Will Stay

Cesc Fabregas has pledged his future to Arsenal because he would "love" to win the Premier League.

The Spanish midfielder starred for Arsenal last season as Arsene Wenger's young side narrowly missed out on domestic and European glory.

And that form is believed to have made Fabregas a top summer target of the likes of Barcelona, Real Madrid and AC Milan.

However, the 21-year-old is adamant that he will not be following Milan-bound Mathieu Flamini or Alexander Hleb, who looks set to move to Inter, out of the Emirates Stadium.

"I will stay at Arsenal," Fabregas said in The Sun. "My coach asked me and I told him he had my confidence.

"I'd love to win the Premier League and I am one of those players who fight for what they want until they achieve it."

Meanwhile, forward Robin van Persie believes Arsenal's wage structure is a reason why players are considering their future at the club.

http://le-grove.co.uk/2008/05/31 ... ri-signs-on-sunday/

Van Persie stays,Eduardo return n El Tel says Nasri sign on Sunday

That抯 it then, it抯 official, Le Grove抯 own steward on the inside tells us a photographer has been called in this Sunday to take a picture of Samir Nasri in an Arsenal shirt, presumably the new one, well done El Tel, let抯 hope it true and we can celebrate Monday抯 post with a picture of our new wonder kid.

Othe great news is that Robin the boy wonder has now said he抯 signing a new contract and is not worried about them money, if that抯 true then more good news indeed, about time, but it makes me wonder what he was on about earlier in the week, but then this will forever be known as the week of the turnaround!

Finally by now you would have all seen the clip of Eduardo, my god what an incredible player, Rosicky and Robin take note, I cannot believe anyone can recover that quickly, burn him, he抯 a warlock!!!

Not a lot on today, no signings the boss is being paid by someone else to commentate, so you抣l all have to wait, hopefully our inside source is right and it won抰 be too long now.

Happy Saturday Grovers.

Great news for Arsenal fans

I know that Eduardo faces a long battle back to fitness, but after the horrific injury suffered against Birmingham City any good news for the Croatian striker has to be welcome by anyone who loves the game of football.

This video was forwarded to me by a reader and while I don't understand what is being said, it's wonderful to see the movements that Eduardo is making in his rehab back in his native Brazil. The Arsenal striker also believes he could make a return to the English club by late July-early August.

Give it a watch for yourself. See if it doesn't bring you a smile on this Saturday.

Arsenal抯 Walcott Shines As England Defeat Trinidad

Arsenal striker Theo Walcott played the final 21 minutes for England this evening, as they brushed aside Trinidad & Tobago 3-0 in Port of Spain.

The match was England抯 first game in Trinidad at senior level, to commemorate the centenary of the Trinidad & Tobago F.A. However there was not space for sentiment, and The Three Lions set about their opponents right from the first minute.

Fabio Capello had previously said he would give the impressive Walcott a run out after his fantastic finish to the season with Arsenal, and named the youngster on the bench. Trinidad were poor right from the outset, the space and time England had on the ball was telling, and the first goal was imminent.

Stuart Downing played a neat 1-2 with Wayne Bridge, before the Chelsea man chipped the ball across the box for Gareth Barry to volley home. 3 minutes later Jermain Defoe was in on the act, and he raced clear before slipping the ball beyond the keeper.

The half finished with determination from the hosts, but with little end product their was never any danger for Capello抯 men. Half time brought a flood of changes and Trinidad & Tobago played much better, they moved the ball a little more productively but again had nothing to show for it.

England punished their hosts yet again on the 49th minute, as David Bentley抯 cross was headed back across the goal by Dennis Lawrence, only for that man Defoe to slot beyond Ince for his second of the game.

Yet more substitutions dogged the fixture, and the hot weather seemed to get to both sides and the overall quality disappeared quickly. But on the 69th minute mark Theo Walcott was called across, and after being given instructions was introduced in place of two goal striker Defoe.

Theo抯 movement and pace was soon showing, as he jinked inside and looked to run at the back line. He twice linked up well with Peter Crouch, playing a tidy 1-2 before the Liverpool man saw his shot saved. Then he used his blistering pace again, as he chased what seemed a lost cause before seeing the defender slip, sending Walcott clear on goal.

As Trinidad & Tobago threw bodies back Theo was caught in two minds, should he pass to Crouch? or shoot? he hesitated, and in the end shot low and tame at the keeper. His impact was similar to that of Samir Nasri yesterday for France. The future looks very bright for Arsenal and England.
