Echotin won text vote  BUT realize that ECho TIN teamup excisted for over 3 1/2 years already while the Diet TIN teamup  was  9 MONTHS ONLY and yet the text voting result was a close race. With over 1 million text votes (where people can vote more than one time and text voting period lasted for nearly 5 months-  ) echo tin won by 80 thousand votes. THE echo tin team was loosing the text votes in Manila but managed to get resources from their rich relatives in the America who provided the funds and won in the end   When both ending were showed . the Echotiners were not happy coz as many observed ( both from viewers  and media people) the Dietin ending was nicer and observers noticed that as Kristine said so herself she would rather have a dietin ending and her performance in both ending showed that kristine portrayal of a happy wife in the wedding came out more realistic  in the Dietin ending . It was easier for her to feel the role of being married to diether (who is her boyfriend of nearly 4 months already in real life at that time ) .  

IN the MALL SHOWS that SWNW had  during Feburary of 2004 the screams and cheers of the crowd was nearly divided (echo tin a bit more )BUT  by their 2nd  3rd and 4 th mall shows ( March to May 2004 )  promiting SWNW. The tide had obviously changed as there were more cheers for Dietin compared to echo Tin. In FACT THE HEAD SCRIPTWRITTER OF SWANN WHO JOINED THEM IN THEIR PROVINCIAL TOUR IN BACOLOD WAS SHOCKED  of the overwhelming support for DIETTIN  AND HEARD LOUD BOOOS from the crowd for ECHO TIN. HE  EVEN REPORTED THIS IN HIS MESSAGE BOARD. This is news not from echottin or dietin supporter but from THE  HEAD SCRIPTWRITTER OF SWNW.

The text voting should have been one person one vote to really get the pulse of the people but it was not IF the echotiners in MANILA had not solicited funds fromt theri relatives abroad they could have lost the text vote if NOT AT THE LEAST resulted in even a narrower result

by the way even if the ara-xtian won the text poll the echotiners protested why the leo-ara ending was shown too the very next day. The diettiners even if they lost where the one that looked like they won in the end. why?

1. they did not spend that much for the polls unlike the echotins who practically solicited so much funds from abroad just to win.

2. the diettiners still got to watch their ending.

3 the diettin ending was very much nicer and complete. this even the echotiners admitted thats why the protest.
