dong: i thought... why they are giving me this.. who am i for them to give me this.. so when they have brain storming and told me there will have a special show for my birthday, im very overwhelmed, in fact i ask myself do i deserve this? at my young age, i haven't done all that things i wanted to do, yet they are recognizing all that i have done. so when they give me this show, i thought, this is not really a birthday show, but this is a show that will make the people learn about my birth as an artist in GMA, so this show will cater everything from the start until now.
ricky: aren't you having a hard time, because when you do a show like this you do a lot of preparation, just the pictorial it takes time, and i saw the photos and for me, just your pictures.. oh my god.. it melt my heart, you really work hard even the pictorial itself.
dong: everything.. from the photos to... most of all the rehearsals. even the conceptualization of the portions must have a personal touch because everything has to do with me. one struggle is how can i hold a show.. i dont sing, im not a comedian to do stand up comedy. so i told them i will just show how thankful i am with GMA.
ricky: "the peak" it means you are in the highest. how does it feel?
dong: to be honest i dont want to think that way, i came from.. i mean the success didnt come easy, the slope is good but its slowly ascending.
ricky: i have seen your rise.. from being a dancer, you work hard... until you reach where you are right now, its not like they took you and you are a star instantly. you really work hard for it and thats what you really value.
dong: thats right.
ricky: because you work hard for it, how does it feel? you work hard and now its here...
dong: when you are in the peak, i feel like you are in a huge vulcan thats waiting to explode.
ricky: lets talk about the dances, how does it feel? you look so sexy when you dance. you said you already forgot how to dance, and here you are, you are dancing, and oh my god.. look at this man.
dong: thank you to the directors who make me look good, its really different, its like going back to my roots. i also want to let them know i didnt forgot what i went through. i enjoy what im doing.
ricky: thats where you start, as a dancer. you have not dance for a long time. but you dance here are very sexy. where did you get the motivation?
dong: i got from Geleen Eugenio [ choreographer, marian's sabay sabay tayo choreographer also] she observe it to me, because i like to fool around, joke around i like to make fun of myself. she see the dance step when im fooling around , she enhanced it.
ricky: what can they expect tonight? they will know the rise of dingdong dantes.
dong: one of my special numbers is with marian rivera. focus on my personal aspect of my right now.
ricky: oh many will feel "kilig" the endless kissing scenes.. do you know... like we practically watch all the show of you and marian, and everytime you kiss eachother people are melting.... how did you do that?
dong: we would like to think we are just doing our homework as an artist.
ricky: just work?
dong: before... hahaha as i said before, you need to give part of yourself because thats where the sincerity comes out and giving your heart to what you are doing and thats what they see on screen, when you fake those people will feel and see it. and those time its needed the scenes need it.
ricky: do you know everytime your lips will touch, the rating sky rocket. do you know that?
dong: really?
ricky: people are really looking forward seeing the two of you, but now you are not working with her.
dong: thats how it goes, there will be times, that we will have solo projects. in fact shes doing very well right now. thats why im very proud of her.
ricky: yes her darna pilot episode rated 44% , 46-47 its very high.
dong: yes, super thats true.
ricky: wilma galvantes said this is one of the most joyous.. GMA big bosses say "we are back in business!"
host: dingdong dantes hand is on a cast when he arrive in GMA for dyesebel special in SOP, he had an accident on dyesebel taping last friday. in one of the scenes he punched a coconut tree and he punched it hardly causing the bones on his hand to dislocate, he was brought to the hospital where they cemented his hand. dingdong dont blame anyone for the accident.
dong: you cant avoid to have accident on taping much more when you are so in to your character, sometimes things happen thats hard to control. its just an accident.
host: dingdong admitted that he was wrong in calculating and the way he punched the tree, he just laugh the accident off.
dong: forces of nature are very strong, so lets not fight with them. haha
host: when the accident happened marian rivera was not on the set, when she arrive on the location she found out what happened.
marian: when i arrive they told me dong was on the hospital, i ask them why is he there? they told me he broke his hand. so i call him, i ask him what happened?
host: when dingdong said he is fine, marian finally could breathe easily.
marian: actually everytime i will say why are you... its your... he was like "yan please let stop talking about it." so i will just keep quiet so he wont get mad.
^marian scolding dingdong because he was not careful and she was worried and dingdong getting annoyed and marian keeping quiet so dingdong wont get mad... its so cute~ hahaha
