you can add in cauliflower and long beans too.
chicken seasoned with little bit of sugar, oyster sauce,
pepper and soy sauce.
You can also mix with sotong.
as for the sauce, we need
chili sauce, oyster sauce, kicap manis
and tomato sauce.
saute shallot, garlic and onion in hot oil.
add in the chicken and fry fry fry.
when the chicken is cooked, add in
oyster sauce, tomato sauce, chili sauce and
kicap manis.
add in carrot and cili padi.
saute for a little while.
add in a little bit of water, the lime leaves and
serai. saute saute saute.
and we're done!
guess what, it's super nice lar!! wuahahah... nicer than those at the malay stall! Try it out yourself!!

21 Yee Sang
ingredients
# 100g white radish, shredded
# 100g carrot, shredded
# 100g mango, shredded
# 50g spring onions, shredded
# 1 red chilli, shredded
# 75g pickled papaya, shredded
# 6 pickled leeks, shredded
# 100g pomelo wedges, peeled and separate the sacs
# 4 kaffir lime leaves, finely shredded
# 20g young ginger, finely shredded
# 1 pair yao char kwai, sliced thinly and deep-fried until crispy
# 100g sweet potato, finely shredded
# 50g toasted sesame seeds
# 70g roasted peanuts, pounded
Sauce ingredients (cook and cool)
# 300g plum sauce
# 1 tbsp apricot jam
# 3 tbsp lime juice
# 3 tbsp honey
# 1 tbsp sesame paste
# 1 tsp sesame oil
# 1/2 tsp salt or to taste
10g Chinese five spice powder, put into a red packet
Method
Deep-fry shredded sweet potatoes in hot oil until crispy. Drain. Add sliced yao char kwai pieces to the hot oil. Deep-fry until lightly golden and crispy. Remove from oil and drain well on crushed kitchen paper.
Combine the sauce ingredients in a small saucepan. Bring to a low simmering boil. Leave aside to cool completely before use.
Arrange the shredded ingredients attractively on a big, round serving platter.
To serve, pour the sauce over the yee sang and sprinkle the with five-spice powder.
Add a sprinkling of sesame seeds and roasted peanuts.

Bahan-Bahan:
3 biji mangga muda - mayang memanjang
5 ulas bawang merah - hiris nipis
6 biji cili api - potong kecil
Ikan bilis - digoreng
Kacang Tanah - digoreng 1 sudu besar gula
2 sudu besar sos ikan
3 biji limau nipis - ambil air perahan
2 helai daun salad
Garam secukup rasa
Cara:
Gaulkan hirisan mangga, bawang merah, cili api, gula, sos ikan, garam, perahan limau nipis.
Masukkan pula kacang tanah dan ikan bilis.
Letakkan di atas pinggan yang telah dilapik dengan daun salad.
Sedia untuk dihidang.
Cadangan Hidangan:
Boleh dihidang segera atau disejukkan dahulu di dalam peti sejuk selama 1/2 jam.
Tambahan:
Jangan campurkan semua bahan terlalu awal kerana ikan bilis dan kacang akan menjadi liat dan lemau. Gaulkan bahan bahan +- 10 minit sebelum dihidangkan supaya ia rasa segar.

* satu mangkok Sotong
* 2 biji limau nipis
* Daun ketumbar
* 1-2 bawang besar
* 3 sudu besar fish sauce
* 1 sudu besar gula
* 1 sudu kecil garam (ikut rasa)
* 5-10 Cili padi (ikut rasa)
* NB: bole juga taruk tauge & tomato, n seafood cocktail..
Cara-cara
1. Bersihkan sotong.
2. potong bulat2, masukkan kedalam bowl. then tarukkan boiling water dlm bowl. rendam selama 5min..so sotong tu masih lembut. separuh masak
3. Potong cili, daun ketumbar(segenggam), bawang besar.
4. campur semua bahan..dan rasa.. and ENJOY!!
5. NB: after step 2: jangan lupa sejat sotong..buang air...

- 2 Cucumbers - quartered, cut away the soft center and slice at a 3/4 slant. Pickle them with salt for 10 minutes of so. Rinse and pat dry with cloth.
- 1 tbsp Dried Prawns - wash, dried and pounded
- 2 tbsp Sambal Belachan
- 6 Shallots - sliced thinly
- 2 Chilli Padi - sliced thinly
- 1 1/2 tbsp Lime Juice
- 1/2 tsp Sugar
- 1/2 tsp Salt
- Place shallots in a large bowl and pour lime juice over.
- Add sambal belachan, the dried prawns, sliced cucumber, salt and sugar.
- Toss together to mix well.
- Season to taste.
c. Tepek juga 1 lagi picnya.

Ingredients :
500 g Raw shrimps
1 tablespoon Cooking oil
2 liters Water
2 tablespoons Curry paste
2 tablespoons Tamarind concentrate
2 teaspoons Ground turmeric
1 teaspoon Red chili, chopped
4-8 Kaffir lime leaves, whole or shredded
2 tablespoons Fish sauce
2 tablespoons Lime juice
2 teaspoons Soft brown sugar
1/4 cup Fresh coriander leaves
Method :
Peel and devein the shrimps leaving only the tail intact.
Heat the oil in a large pan. Add the shrimps shells and heads to the pan and cook for 10 minutes over moderately high heat, tossing frequently, until the shells and heads are deep orange.
Add 1 cup of the water and the curry paste to the pan.
Boil for 5 minutes until water level reduced slightly. Add the remaining water and simmer for 20 minutes. Drain the stock, discarding the heads and shells.
Return the drained stock to the pan.
Add the tamarind, turmeric, chili and lime leaves. Bring to boil and cook for 2 minutes.
Add the shrimps to the pan and cook for 5 minutes or until the prawns turn pink.
Add the fish sauce, lime juice, sugar and stir to combine.
Serve immediately and sprinkled with coriander leaves.

21 kerabu suhun
Resepi untuk KERABU SUHUN yg tak jemu dimakan ini:
Bahan:
-tentulah Suhun ;)
-Udang
-Sotong
-Bawang putih (2-3 ulas)
-Daun ketumbar
-Bunga kantan
-Daun Kesum
-perahan air limau nipis (ikut tahap kemasaman yg korang suka)
-garam & gula secukup rasa
-optional: -Celery
-lobak merah
Cara-cara:
1-Celur suhun dalam air yg menggelegak selama beberapa minit sehingga suhun menjadi lembut. Tapi AWAS!!! Jangan terlalu lembut. Kemudian toskan dan masukkan ke dalam mangkuk hidangan.
2-Semua jenis sayur-sayuran dihiris nipis. Masukkan ke dalam mangkuk hidangan bersama suhun.
(Daun ketumbar, daun kesum & bunga kantan tak perlu ada sekaligus. Boleh pilih salah satu, salah dua atau kesemuanya dalam kerabu korang)
3-Panaskan minyak masak, dalam 3-4 sudu makan.
(Bergantung kepada kuantiti udang & sotong yang digunakan)
4-Tumis bawang putih yang telah dicincang halus hingga bertukar warna. Tapi jangan sampai jadik warna coklat i.e. hangus. Huhuhuhu...
5- Masukkan udang & sotong. Goreng hingga udang & sotong jadi agak layu.
6- Masukkan gorengan udang & sotong ke dalam mangkuk hidangan yg telah berisi suhun & sayur-sayuran.
7- Masukkan perahan air limau nipis, garam & gula secukup rasa.Gaul hingga serasi semuanya.
