I would like to suggest that, anybody who has edited their posting will not be taken as the winner. (same goes for myself, but I edited my posting because the paragraph were in a mess)
It is not fair for others who did not win but had their answer edited/ copied by the winner. (Which I knew happened for this case)

dear dexa,
Would you please explain about 'put' as the gerund and used it after preposition. I've read this but I couldn't understand much.
I never use 'putting' before because i was told that there is no such word.
or it is verbs with prepositions followed by the gerund?
or it is present continuous?
For example - We are putting on a show this evening.
It sounds weird rite?
I would like to try any weird words

firstly i want to explain re: using will and am going to
since there's no 'future tense' in english -
you have to choose from a number of forms --
and remember - often 'will' is not a best choice -
for intention: use ' am going to' (i am going to buy a car) -- not will!
for an instant decision: use 'will' (okay, i will buy it) not a present tense
for an arrangement use a present continuous :
i am seeing my boss at three - |
