VAMPS to stream surprise lives
Rock duo VAMPS has announced that they will do three surprise, and completely free, lives somewhere in Tokyo on July 30th. The group is holding back the locations of the free events and leaving them as a surprise for the attendees.
Tickets will be given out to “VAMPS ADDICT” fanclub members through a lottery system. This may seem like it is poor luck for a lot of fans who won’t win the raffle or for fans overseas, but VAMPS has provided a nice alternative. They will be broadcasting all of the surprise lives simultaneously online. The lives will be streamed through SYNC MUSIC JAPAN (myspace x Ustream), Yahoo Music Live, and Nico Nico Namahousou. Nico Nico has even set it up so that non-members of the site will be able to tune in and watch the events.
This is a great opportunity, especially for overseas fans, to be able to catch a live event from the rock duo. Make sure you stay tuned on July 30th to see the surprise lives!

Ken's Mini-Album "The Party" and Follow-Up Tour Announced!
On August 4th, L'Arc-en-Ciel's guitarist Ken will be releasing his mini-album "The Party" and the first press limited edition will include a ticket to "Meeting Ken! In Tobu Zoo (and there will be fireworks, too!)". Accordingly this ticket will be needed to enter the hand shake event on August 28th. Fans who would like to participate better get the first press limited edition and the accompanying ticket, because if not brought to the actual place, participation is not possible!
Since the venue is a Zoo, it might be likely to even meet Ken's C.H.Lion?
Moreover, following the release of his mini-album "The Party", Ken will be heading on his "Ken TOUR 2010 'Hey! Join The Party!'" from October 5th, please look forward to that as well!

The #1 single this week was the latest solo release from NEWS member Tomohisa Yamashita. Titled "One in a million," the song sold 161,000 copies. With this, all three of his solo singles have charted at #1. Including his albums and singles with NEWS, plus his collaborative singles, he now has 20 consecutive works at the top of the charts.
Almost all of the other top ten singles were new releases, starting with Yusuke at #2, Namie Amuro at #3, and Gackt at #4. A collaboration of Miki Imai, Kentaro Kobuchi, Tomoyasu Hotei, and Shunsuke Kuroda was #5. The bottom half of the list included S/mileage, WaT, Sphere, and access.
On the album charts, Miliyah Kato earned #1 with "HEAVEN," selling 151,000 copies. This is her second album to top the charts, though the first one was a best album.
A "Full Metal Alchemist" compilation took #2, followed in order by VAMPS and lecca. Fujifabric charted at #7, while an "Angel Beats!" soundtrack was #9. Rounding out the list was Maki Goto, who has not appeared in the top ten since releasing a best album nearly five years ago.
On the DVD charts, B'z took #1 with 93,000 copies of their latest concert DVD. They now have seven consecutive releases at the top of the overall DVD charts, tying them for the current record with KinKi Kids.

JACK IN THE BOX 2010 Live Stream
JACK IN THE BOX 2010, the famous Japanese music summer event, will be streamed live on August 21st on various sites.
This year the event includes artists such as acid android, DEAD END, girugamesh, Karasu, Ken, Kyo, MUCC, SID, TETSUYA, VAMPS, 44MAGNUM, Zoro, Alice Nine, Becky ♯ ♪, LM.C, Ryuichi Kawamura, LOUDNESS and sads.
The live stream can be found on the following sites:USTREAM on MySpace, Sync Music Japan and NEXUS TV.
The festival will last for the whole day and starts at 11am Japanese time, which is approximately 10am in Malaysia.

L'Arc~en~Ciel to start 2011 with anniversary concert
In 2008, rock band L'Arc~en~Ciel indicated that they would not be doing another live performance until 2011, to celebrate their 20th anniversary. Now, two years later, more details have finally been revealed.
The band's big concert will take place at the Makuhari Messe in Chiba, with an estimated capacity of 20,000 for the event. The concert has been named "L'A HAPPY NEW YEAR!" and will appropriately start when the clocks turn to midnight on December 31, 2010, and the new year begins.
L'Arc~en~Ciel's last concert together was at the Kyocera Dome in Osaka in June 2008, finishing off a world tour that started two months earlier. Since then, the four members have mainly been active with their solo projects, though they did have a few releases during that time.
The band has other plans for their anniversary year as well. In addition to the New Year's concert, they have already said that there will be a new single, and they are currently planning a tour that will be at least as big as their 2008 tour, which was attended by 320,000 people over 10 concerts in 7 cities.
