Girl group Kara expressed their excitement about their "war" with SoNyuhShiDae.
Karasaid at KBS 2TV's 'Music Bank' on the second in Newsen's interview, "Weheard that So Nyuh Shi Dae is going to make their comeback soon" andthat "We're excited because they're one of the best girl groups."
Besidesthat, Kara is waiting for their "war" with So Nyuh Shi Dae. So Nyuh ShiDae is having their comeback stage on the ninth after releasing theirmini album, 'Gee,' on the seventh. The two groups, who have all theinterest and love from male fans, are being anticipated by fans towatch them battle.
Kara said, "We think, because we're about thesame age and a girl group, we have a lot of interest from people. We'revery curious to know what kind of music So Nyuh Shi Dae listens to andwhat kind of performance they would show us."
They also added,"So Nyuh Shi Dae is a group who has great songs and shows a greatimage. We're also working very hard. Instead of thinking of winning,we're going to take this chance to improve ourselves."
In the beginning of the newyear, a battle of the roses is about to start in music industry. In the2nd week of January, girl groups are making their comeback or debut,and clash head to head.
Themost anticipated group of all is SNSD as they are eagerly awaited bymany boy fans. After 9 months break, SNSD announced their comeback byreleasing a teaser of their mini-album title song 'Gee'.
SNSDacted mannequins that wake up to life, and displayed their uniquecharms in the teaser. 'Gee' is an English word meaning 'Omona' or'Shocked', and also represents SNSD's cute image. On the 7th, themini-album is going to be available for sale after the MP3 release onthe 5th.
In the same week, two new groups are to challengeSNSD. The veiled 'Son Dambi group', After School, drew some attentionsince Son Dambi (from the same management company called 플레디스) is goingto be in as a guest member. The anticipation grew even more because thegroup includes 'Ulzzang' Lee Jooyoen, who made a brief appearance inthe show "Introducing Star's Friend".
5 member female group,'After School', is planning to release their first album in earlyJanuary. The expected release date is around the 8th, and the plannedfirst TV appearance is around 7~11th, meaning they will appear in thesame week as SNSD.
A new 3 member female group, Brand New Day,will debut with the release of their first album on the 7th. It is aninteresting coincidence that Castle J entertainment's secret weapon,Brand New Day, is releasing their album on the same day as SNSD. BrandNew Day already released the M/V teaser of their title song '살만해'.
Thename 'Brand New Day' contains a meaning that "everyday is new". Theirstrong point is that all three members have an amazing singing talentrecognized by composers long before their debut.
