It has been announced that Korean 5-member dance-vocal unit BIGBANG will sing the theme song to Fuji TV's morning show "Mezamashi Saturday" that airs every saturday from 6 a.m.
This is the first time a Korean group is singing the theme song for an information/news show, and is also a first for Fuji TV.
Mezamashi Saturday's producer has said that he hopes that the show will be "explosive" just like BIGBANG's name.
The song, currently in production, is called "HANDS UP". It has a meaning of "getting excited by putting your hands up in the air", with an uptempo melody, and hopes to convey the energetic spirit of a weekend morning.
Members V.I (19) and D-LITE (20) expressed that they are doing their best to produce a song that will be well-received by everyone. It has not been decided if/when the song will be released on CD. The song will be on-air for about half a year from the 3rd of April onwards.

BIG BANG will be making an impact on morning television, as their new song "HANDS UP" has been chosen as the next theme song for Fuji TV's "Mezamashi Saturday" (6:00am).
This is the first time that BIG BANG has done a theme song for a Japanese news show. It is also the first time that any Korean artist has done one for a news show on Fuji TV.
BIG BANG made their debut in Japan just last June, but they have already become very popular in a short amount of time. In December, they earned the title of Best New Artist at the 51st Japan Record Awards.
"HANDS UP" is currently in production, though it is described as being an uptempo song. It is scheduled to be used on "Mezamashi Saturday" for six months, starting on April 3. The song does not yet have a release date.
Previous theme songs for "Mezamashi Saturday" have been by artists such as Thelma Aoyama, FUNKY MONKEY BABYS, and GReeeeN.

Many top-notch Asean artists will gather in 「MTV LIVE 05.30.10」 on May 30,2010 at Yoyogi National Gymnasium, Tokyo.
"MTV LIVE" is the most popular live event that has been held by MTV JAPAN since 2008.
The event theme this year is "Through Live. Connecting Asia" and features four acts from Japan along side with the leading Asean acts in the music scene.
Starting with the most popular dance vocal group that sweeps all 2009 best newcomer awards, BIGBANG. Soul and R&B singer, JAY'ED, Vanness from F4 on his solo career and most popular group both in Japan and Asia, w-inds.
The ticket will go on pre-sale for the artists' Fan Club members only on Thursday April 1 and to the public on Thursday April 8.
The program will air on MTV JAPAN, MTV ASIA and its international channels to 200,000,000 households worldwide.

[News] G-Dragon confirmed as guest for Flo Rida’s Korea concert performance
Big Bang G-Dragon has been invited to guest for American hip hop artiste Flo Rida’s S.Korea concert.
Coming 22nd May, G-Dragon will appearing as guest appearance for Flo Rida's first ever concert in Seoul YeonSae University Hal. Flo Rida previously paid a visit to Korea in October 2009, even though he did public performances back then, this will be the first time that he will open a concert performance to meet up with the Korean fans.
Meanwhile, this news have came as garnering much interests from fans and netizens since G-Dragon was involved in a plagiarism controversy last year where his solo album title song 'Heartbreaker' was said to have plagiarised Flo Rida's 'Right Round'.
In the midst of it, Flo Rida did a featuring version of G-Dragon's 'Heartbreaker' song for his first solo concert 'Shine A Light' live album which once again became the hot issue amongst music fans.
Meanwhile, Flo Rida will be having his concert performance on 21st and 22nd May but G-Dragon will only guest for the concert performance on 22nd May.
Tickets to the concert performance will be sold on InterPark and Auction on 13th April.

Big Bang has given a hint on their comeback plans.
On a recent talk with reporters G-Dragon stated “Currently I’m working on Big Bang’s album” and hinted about the releasement date “We’re aiming to have it ready by September or October” he said.
G-Dragon alsomentioned “A lot of songs have already been made. The songs that willbe picked for the album will be beautiful!” making fans even moreexcited. “The solo activities of the other members might cause thecomeback album to be delayed a bit but Big Bang might be able to release the new album by August or September since that’s when we usually come back.”
Big Bang’s comeback iswhat matters the most to me right now, I can have more patient for thesolos. Hopefully their aim to release this album by August or Septembercan be done, hwaiting! ^^
Taeyang’s solo album will come outbefore Big Bang’s album! And Big Bang will release 2 new mini albums!
