Kim Jeong Hoon May Perform in Shanghai
Thecurtains will rise for the 13th Shanghai Television Festival in tenmore days and yesterday ( 31st May ) its preparatory committee held apress conference on its collaboration with SVA for the fourth time. Itwas reported that apart from running Animation Day activities duringthe Television Festival, a theme-based evening party programme will bepresented every night.
The first Animation Day
TheAnimation Day is scheduled to be held on the 13th of June with the aimto examine the global market trends and discover remarkably creativeitems in animation. The activities are made up of three majorcomponents: international animation arena forum, collection ofanimation projects and a screening of pioneering animation works fromSpain. Also, the executive director of Shrek, Sesame Street's producerand the likes will personally impart their experiences in the field ofcreativity in global animation.
Besides that, a plan is in thepipeline to produce a sports-themed inspirational animated filmtargeting at youths as a tribute to China's Olympics. As such, SMG willalso launch an official programme to amass creative proposals for thisfilm on Animation Day. Local and foreign animation professionals, aswell as experts in related fields such as sports and comics, will beinvited to act as this event's panel of judges and millions of dollarsare going to be invested on the making of the winning entry by SMG.
Five Theme-based Evening Parties
Anotherspecial feature of this year's Television Festival is the presentationof theme-based evening parties every night throughout the course of thefestival. On the evening of the 11th, the Life and Style channel willproduce a show on the theme
How Television Changes Our Lives,looking back on the history of television and its development; on the12th, in order to celebrate the progress of China's documentaries for30 years, the programme will focus on the theme
We're Together;on the same night, comperes from WuZhen, inland China, Hong Kong andTaiwan will gather to participate in a grand ceremony forMandarin-speaking TV hosts, which will be broadcasted by ShanghaiOriental TV on the 13th; the 14th will see the holding of an eveningparty themed
Shining Stars of The Oriental.
Currently,the preparatory committee is putting in great efforts to invite Goong'smale lead character, Kim Jeong Hoon, to perform in Shanghai.As for the list of guests invited to present the awards on The WhiteMagnolia ceremony, the preparatory committee has yet to make anofficial announcement.
