2PM's Japanese single 'Winter Games' tops Oricon and Tower Records' weekly charts
2PM released their seventh Japanese single 'Winter Games' on the 16th. Since its release, it had been topping Oricon's real-time and daily charts. Now, on the 23rd, Oricon released its weekly chart to show that 'Winter Games' topped that, as well by selling 108,537 copies. As 2PM is the first K-pop artist in nine months to rank number one on Oricon's weekly chart for singles, they are grabbing even more attention.
That is not all. Before 2PM's single was released, Tower Records in Shibuya prepared an exclusive special checkout for 2PM's 'Winter Games' in anticipation for the congestion due to the local fans' hot interest in the group. The album garnered immense popularity as soon as it was released so that it made the number one spot in Tower Records's daily single album sales regardless of genre. It even became number one for their weekly chart, as well.
The much loved 2PM returned to the music scene wearing trench coats to capture the sense of the upcoming winter season for their single 'Winter Games.' They received an explosive response from their fans when they took the stage for their Japanese fan meeting. Before their single's release, they ranked number one on the Japanese ringtone chart, Recochoku.

2PM’s Chansung thanks fans with a funny photo
On September 14, 2PM’s maknae (the youngest) Chansung expressed his gratitude to hottests (2PM’s fans) for sending a food support booth to his filming location for “red Carpet” by uploading a funny photo through his personal Twitter account.
“Woww, thank you. Coffee and lunch support at “red Carpet! The punch is from Oh Jung Sae. The nose-bleeding make up was too evident so he covered it up for me,” Chansung tweeted.
In the photo, Chansung, who played Dae Yoon in the movie, is seen having fun with his fellow co-star, Oh Jung Sae, who gave him a fake punch on the nose, with the crews in a queue to get the food given by the fans as the background.
“Red Carpet” is a romantic comedy movie that follows actors. It is scheduled to be released at the end of this year.
JYP Entertainment partners up with Smile Gate to promote game 'CrossFire' with 2PM & miss A!
JYP Entertainment and game company Smile Gate has joined forces!
The two companies will be working together starting from the 18th to promote Hallyu and Smile Gate's game 'CrossFire'. 2PM and miss A will be promoting the first person shooter game.
'Cross Fire' is the #1 FPS in Brazil, and is the #1 online game in China. It's played by 400,000,000 players all over the world in 76 countries. The game will create characters that look like 2PM and miss A members.
JYP Entertainment said, "We're looking forward to 2PM and miss A's CrossFire PR video as building the platform for both companies. It won't be just a simple collaboration between gaming and entertainment. We will be working hard to lead the way in spreading K-contents."

2PM’s Junho suffered a minor injury on his finger.
JYP Entertainment reported on December 19, “Junho got a cut on his finger while practicing a fight scene from the movie Memories of the Sword. Thankfully, injury wasn’t so serious and he got some stitches on his finger.”
The 2PM member has been filming the movie despite the injury afflicted on December 15.
“He’ll be ok since the injury was not a serious one,” said a staff of the agency. “Junho has been traveling back and forth between Seoul and the countryside for filming. He will finish off filming at the end of this month and will start preparing for 2PM’s new Japanese album.”
Memories of the Sword is a chivalry action film set in Goryeo dynasty, and will depict the story of a blind sword fighter and a girl he raised, going after a man for revenge
