Well, to sum up everything - I guess there were many paedophilia marriage in the ancient days, not only in the ancient Arabs but other parts of the world. In fact paedophilia marriage also existed in ancient India, China etc. No wonder Indians & Chinese married at young age in the old days even when they migrated to Malaya.
May I ask you, was that a crime that these people shd be punished? Can we reasonable enough to understand the customs in the old days? I mean, children in the ancient days were more mature & had reached puberty at young age due to their culture & environment. You can't compare them with young children in the modern days. Even so, many underage children in the modern days already have sexual intercourse & some give birth at very young age. Even as young as 9 yrs old. There're many cases young children giving births in the Western countries. |
