TV3 and TV9 will bring coverage of the SEA Games in Myanmar, including live matches of Ong Kim Swee's Harimau Muda.
Good news has arrived for all sport fans in Malaysia as TV3, alongside Video Portal Tonton!, will bring exclusive coverage of the 27th SEA Games in Myanmar this December.
TV3 will collaborate with Telekom Malaysia Berhad as their main sponsor, while Milo will be the official media partner for the tournament that features the best athletes in the Southeast Asian region.
In the official launch yesterday, in the presence of Deputy Minister of Youth and Sports YB Datuk Saravanan, Secretary-general of Malaysian Olympic Council Dato’ Sieh Kok Chi and Director of Malaysian Sports Council Dato’ Zolkples Embong, TV3 announced their daily coverage of the SEA games.
This includes the football competition in which Malaysia will participate, with the national Under-23 team on a mission to retain the gold medal in the sport.
There will be live telecasts for all group matches, as well as knockout matches (if Malaysia go through) in a special channel.
This will include the latest updates from the Young Tigers, and the programme will have former national team captain Baddrol Bakhtiar throughout the tournament.
Eleven nations are competing in this edition of the SEA Games, namely Malaysia, Thailand, Singapore, Vietnam, Laos, Myanmar, Camboodia, Brunei and Timor Leste, in a total of 34 sports.
This is the third time Myanmar will be the hosting the games after 1961 and 1969.
For this edition, Malaysia have set a target of 40 gold medals. |
