B'z top this week's Oricon Chart

B'z's original album "MAGIC", released last week on the 18th, has made its debut on the charts by attaining Weekly #1. Including their Best-Of albums, this is their 24th album to achieve Weekly #1, breaking their own record of "Highest number of weekly-#1 albums", widening the gap between them and the artiste who has the 2nd highest number of weekly-#1 albums, Matsutoya Yumi (21 #1 albums).

Also, their new album has sold 341,000 copies in its first week of release, higher than their previous original album "Action", which sold 293,000 copies in its first week when it was released in December 2007. For B'z, this is their first album to achieve first-week sales of more than 300,000 since their 15th original album "Monster", which was released in June 2006.
