it's getting weird..
we are all giving penalty to christian (and muslim) according to only one example. we have therefore take from a larger group of people, if want to know the real truth.
my experience to visiting italy, there are jesus (and mary) either in form of statue or images (or both), and are worshipped.
want to find more, the cross-signs are hanged at almost every corner of wards' in hospital.
having the kaaba picture in living room is just like "penyeri ruang tamu", we dont bear and not forced to put it in our living room.
i think, from what we are talking here, are based from one's experiencing.. and sorry, that i have forgotten to wish debmey: welcome back.. missed you very much.. long time not to read your "funny" stories.
it is a fallacy to deny that christian worshipping statues... as they bear to jesus's image.
therefore, statement from seraphim, truth.8 and debmey cant be taken as unintended or otherwise they can claim that *EVERY* christian do not worship statue.
as said earlier we dont "bow" to black stone in kaaba. it's just a direction...
now... debmey, truth.8, seraphim, swear in your god's name (names):
1. deny that there are no statues of jesus, mary or paul (or both, or every names mentioned), in *every* church on this planet.
2. describes how you worship to your god.
3. why people wear cross-sign (and be given free cross-sign, at some places) besides that faith, and besides having it as accesory. |

Statues,religious icons and images are mostly Catholics and that various Orthodox...The others dont have such practice...hope that clarifies it.. |

you may not worship statue..
but, this wouldnt be the final judgment, we have to be fair and take from overall case.. they are christian too, regardless of their class (or type) of christiniaty.

Of course yu don't pray 5 times daily although yu are supposed to. Maybe you don't believe in islam. |

Your immediate dislike of my hypothetical suggestion of blowing up the KAABA, shows you that human kind tend to depend on SYMBOLS as a means of associating an idea or philosophy.
Whether they are kopiahs, or crosses or statues, or the KAABA, we are just being human.
But do we actually worship the statues, we dont, like you, the inanimate object is just a point of focus or a reminder of our faith.
